Raggo Zulu Rebel’s back with his latest anthem for Rastaman near, far and wide. It’s a remix of Jidenna’s classic man, waving the flag for Rastamen, Women, children and all those who embrace the culture. RED/GOLD/GREEN, SEEN!!!
Raggo Zulu Rebel deals with it in a 1980’s dancehall style for his latest single ‘Rice & Peas’ which is over the “Nuh Fraid” riddim track produced by Jah SnowCone. To summarize the song is on the surface about Sunday dinner but goes deeper to explore the Ital diet which is part of Rasta lifestyle. Ital is Rastafari vocabulary, linguistics or ebonics for vital or vitality or being essential to life. Ital is a lifestyle choice eating and putting the I primary (I = ever living life force in all things /GOD/JAH/Selassie I).
This usually means abstaining from consuming any meat, animal by products, fish, diary, salt, sugar, (cigarettes & alcohol) or anything that urinates, passes feces or menstruates basically the closest thing to what the western world would refer to as a vegan diet. Individual’s lifestyles will vary according to personal needs…
Raggo Zulu Rebel is a London artist who blends hip hop, reggae, dancehall, R&B, acoustic soul and a splash of grime – with a message.
