Boston’s own Rite Hook has returned with “The Road,” an equally gritty and catchy new single from the hard-nosed rapper destined to leave heads spinning with his whirlwind bars. At least, that’s what’ll happen once you hear the second verse on this track, which is a non-album leak off his upcoming next album, ‘Modify’.

Hook’s fervent rhymes are the perfect match for the tough, neck-breaking instrumental supplied by Sicknature of acclaimed production team the Snowgoons. As each teeth-gritting line hits your speaker, it’s complemented by hard-hitting percussion and a sing-song chorus that’s become something of a trademark for the Beantown resident. It’s rare that an emcee can balance writing rhymes and vocals like Hook, and he makes it sound easy on “The Road.”

This banger of a joint “The Road” is available now for streaming below. Consider it a holdover as we wait for the proper first single off Modify, which drops in early 2016 on Leedz Edutainment, and serves as the follow-up to 2013’s From The Wrong.

Hip Hop-producer Superior from Heilbronn, Germany and rapper Reks from Massachusetts, US, are going to release their new single “Superiority” digitally via Below System Records this Friday, December 11. It is the first impression of Superiors new album, which is going to be released in springtime 2016 and will feature several exciting guest appearences by international artists.

“Superiority defines us because we choose not to follow the trends of mediocre emcees and producers.  We strive to be better than the rest“, Reks states about the release. Superior adds: „It is my main goal to keep getting better with everything I do. Hip Hop and Rap always have been a sort of competition and there’s no space to stand still when you try to give your best. That is the message of our new single Superiority.”

Superior got his musical roots at a very early age being involved in the German Breakdance scene since the early 80s and listening intensively to Funk & Soul music from the 60s, 70s and 80s. At the same time, he developed his love for HipHop and started to teach himself how to do mixing and scratching which eventually led him to play at several jams and clubs in Europe and become vize champion at the German DJ Championships in the end of the 90s. After several collaborations, he finally released his first instrumental solo album called “Scenes” in 2015, followed by the single “Rap Champion” with Planet Asia.

Massachusetts-based rapper Reks also took his first steps in the hiphop scene as a B-Boy. In 2001 he released his first album. By now, he released 9 LPs, several mixtapes and singles and worked with artists such als DJ Premier, Alchemist, Styles P, Termanology and Hi-Tek.
