There is so much good in and around album I can’t fully describe it with my tiny little paws. Right, right calm down there kiddo. Whether or not you’re aware dear reader, but we’re big fans of AWKWORD, and not just because he’s a brilliant MC but also because his politics are probably better than yours, mine and your mate’s too.
World View is his latest LP, and all the sale proceeds go directly to the charity Guns 4 Cameras which I strongly suggest you take a gander at once you’re done reading my fine, fine words. AWKWORD has been a consistently good rapper for the last few years, both in content and style and this is another good example if that. No bubblegum rap, but at the same time he doesn’t do the disservice of talking at you. I’m probably a bit/a lot bias as Pacewon and Slug are both featured on the record, and they’re two of my favourite rappers but honestly it’s a very good release all personal impartiality aside.

Everything about this EP deserves respect. If we set aside the fact that the artists featured on this EP (not forgetting L.I.F.E.T.I.M.E of course) really step their game up on this one and all have solid songs (and as of right now I can’t pick a favourite track), the whole  reason of this release is incredibly honourable.

Come on now, try and be hard hearted and tell me that isn’t fucking rad? Yeah, yeah exactly. Another gold release from L.I.F.E.T.I.M.E/From The Hart Music and Old Beat Records, one of my favourite EPs I’ve heard all day.

Whatever your feelings about Jay-Z, either past or present you can’t deny his story telling ability. In a similar vein of thinking, a lot of people are pretty divided on their opinions of Nas and his previous work when compared to his current material. Is it better, is it worst?…

…You know what? It doesn’t matter! It’s a stupid argument, and I’m tired of even talking about it I just wanted to write a little intro to get you thinking about Nas and Jay. It worked though didn’t it eh?
Moteleola is a South East London producer who’s done a really nice job of remixing some classic Nas and Jay verses and chopping them up with his own original beats. A good few of the tracks take some quite expected turns in regards to speed and instrumentation, and as the Spring weather pops its head over the horizon this is pretty perfect for those over-eager BBQs you’ve convinced yourself it’s hot enough to have.
