Let us introduce you to Subverted Kapers, a Midlands duo consisting of rapper Kapes and producer Subvert. Their undiluted authentic Hip-Hop sound pays homage to the past with a modern twist. Subverted Kapers are committed to resurrecting the real essence of the genre. This is real music with a real message and something all real heads will adore.

Currently followed by the likes of Chuck D (Public Enemy), MC Ren (NWA), The Outlawz, Bishop Lamont and more, their debut EP ‘Born Inner Struggle’ is a release that any Hip-Hop act would be proud of. Featuring brother of Tupac, Mopreme Shakur of Thug Life as well as a collection of great solo tracks it’s no surprise the response has been so strong.

Subvert, the crew’s producer began his journey into music at a very young age and has created his own signature sound which has been credited as bringing back the boom bap feel with a fresh twist. Kapes, the rapper of the crew began rhyming in 1998 at the age of 10. He has since went on to perform at Birmingham’s O2 academy and although was not scheduled to, was featured in a BBC 1xtra documentary with Charlie Sloth.
