This West Midlands rapper has impressed before with a string of successful underground releases. Deeze debuted with his UK Runnings mixtape ‘The Preturn’ back in October 2010 and then went on to release two other mixtapes ‘The Return’ in November and ‘The Re-Birth’ on News Day 2011. This onslaught of releases made noise on the underground and led to him releasing a five track EP entitled ‘Late Nights Early Mornings’ which was produced by Tricksta and released digitally on Wolftown Recordings, as well as featuring heavily on Tricksta’s forthcoming album and featuring on the video track ‘Out Of Darkness’ which has now has over 20,000 hits on You Tube.
In June we saw Deeze drop his fifth project and second mixtape with UK Runnings called ‘Call Of Big Dutty’ which has received various positive reviews across the internet and caused a stir with numerous industry heads who are finally beginning to wake up to his talent. Deeze also features on the forthcoming album from producer Stealf, where he features on track alongside Konny Kon and Jadakiss, as well as being asked to do a solo track. Deeze also recently collaborated with Chicago producer Rediculus on a track with the legendary Juice Crew member Craig G, as well as playing live and recording future tracks with Juttla for Eastern Pressure.
Now in August 2011 we get Deeze’s sixth project, a seven track EP that features all original production but with a Batman twist! For this project he enlisted the production skills of talented UK beat-makers Tricksta, Stealf and Leinad 410, insisting that all production should sample music from the film! With this concept in mind he cleverly gives us a concept EP like no other as he compares modern inner city living in the UK to that of the fictional city of Gotham. This promotional free download EP is just one of many examples of the creativity that Deeze is bringing to the music game and with his next mixtape planned to be released with DJ Ames things are really hotting up for Big Dutty Deeze.

Here’s a release well worth checking out. This is Deeze’s seventh release since last October and in fact his third release with Tricksta’s UK Runnings mixtape series. This here is basically a remix project where Tricksta has chose ten of his favourite Deeze tracks and remixed them. Like all projects some tracks are better than others, but some of the tracks on here are worthy of being on an album! ‘I Ain’t Tryin To Say’, ‘March Into War’, ‘UK Anthem’ and ‘Gimme…’ are the choice cuts here, although you might disagree and like others. The beats hit hard and the ryhmes & metaphors come at you 100mph! Either way you look at it; this is definitely something for you need for your iPod. Big release from Deeze and UK Runnings, proper first class (Wolverhampton) Hip-Hop.
Tracklist:
01 – I Ain’t Tryin To Say
02 – Blood Of A Warrior
03 – Back In The Saddle
04 – Girl You’re A Stunner
05 – UK Anthem
06 – March Into War
07 – Funeral
08 – W.O.L.V.E.S
09 – Gimme…
10 – My Business Card

Review by Stix
London born emcee J. Karma moved to Norwich at an early age and started recording around 2008. With a host of local acts all doing their thing, J. Karma knew it was time to unleash some of his music. After creating a local buzz by shifting over a thousand CD’s and getting airplay from Future FM, J. Karma is a name to watch out for. Inspired by life and all the stresses and joys of inner city living combined with his unique but diverse style of riding a beat can be heard all the way through his latest release ‘The Next Level’. J. Karma has arrived and arrived with a bang. Tipped already by various tastemakers to do big things, J. Karma is ready to take his sound to the next level.
With a string of solid reviews from some of the UK’s leading on-line magazines and blogs, as well as FM and Internet radio play and recently being interviewed for Rago Magazine, the vibe is already building for J. Karma’s ‘The Next Level’ mixtape. This talented songwriter and performer has teamed up with a host of featured guests including Grime star Little Dee who was part of the chart-topping Roll Deep and now reps hard with the OG’z alongside P Money & Blacks. The mixtape also features Tommy Bones, UK Hip-Hop veterans DPF & Reds from Chronic Redye, as well as rising UK rappers Franko Fraize and Jammin Kane. Quality music throughout, this is a must for fans of Grime, Hip-Hop and Urban Music.
This is where J. Karma could step up and maybe fly the flag for his home town on a more commercial tip. www.100PerCentUK.com
