8 writers had 20 minutes, 3 colours and a random word given to them right before the timer started. They had just 20 mins to paint to come up with the best dub they could, in the rain and wind! Only 4 writers went through to the semi finals which is this weekend. Keep your eyes peeled for part 2!

Canadian born (and a Toronto resident), MoSS may be a new name to some in the music game, but his production credits are instantly recognizable and have resulted in over 2 million record sales worldwide. Ghostface Killah’s smash hit “Kilos”, Raekwon’s ”Have Mercy”, Obie Trice’s entire Special Reserve album and most recently a collaborative album with Eternia (At Last which was released on Fatbeats).
MoSS got his first taste of notoriety by working with Obie Trice (Shady Records) around 2000. Moss was producing records for Obie, including both his independent singles ”Well Known” and the 12” “Mr. Trice,” which created the buzz that eventually led to Obie’s major label deal. Since then, MoSS has produced for a long list of “who’s who” in the hip hop world, including: Joell Ortiz, Ghostface, Papoose, Peedi Crack, The Game, Slum Village, Boot Camp Clik, Red Cafe, Mr Easy, AZ, Bounty Killa, D-Block (Styles P and Sheek Louch), Termanology, Big Shug, M.O.P., Kool G. Rap, Ras Kass, Omilio Sparks, Proof of D12 and the list goes on.
A former member of DJ Premier’s production label, “Works of Mart”, (Premier’s first ever production signee) MoSS’ production work for other artists has resulted in him being recognized by outlets such as Rolling Stone, Spin, People and more, and after premieres with Hypetrak, Okayplayer, Huffington Post and Hiphopdx, MoSS officially unveils his debut album, Marching To The Sound Of My Own Drum, which is now available and features appearances from Joe Budden, DJ Premier, AZ, Joell Ortiz, Sean Price, Jon Connor, Skyzoo, Inspectah Deck, Ill Bill, Havoc, Onyx, Slum Village, Willie The Kid, Guilty Simpson, Termanology, Peedi Crakk, Slaine and others.

Dope cross atlantic collaboration between UK producer Remulak and Brooklyn rapper Justo with the joint ‘Sharper Than The Sword’
Remulak has been producing the classic 90’s sounding Hip-Hop for over 10 years with the use of his trusty MPC. His style ranges from the hard-hitting dark Boom bap styles to the more melodic & Soulful. He has continued to build a name for himself on the underground scene over in the UK & now has tracks made with artists such as Lewis Parker, Blueprint, JmegathaGod, Justo, Moka Only, El Da Sensi as well as several established UK artists as M9, Cappo, Skuff, Black Josh, Cyrus Malachi & more.
Justo at 25 years old, has become one of the most promising rappers coming out of Brooklyn. Growing up in the projects of East New York, music was his escape. His talents as a rapper were immediately evident as he quickly transitioned from dominating lunchroom battles to performing at venues all over Brooklyn, Harlem and Long Island. Several years spent honing his craft have yielded amazing results. He is a transcendent rapper who combines a strong mic presence with an animated flow and lyrical depth, and he does it all in style. In a time where Hip Hop may be in decline, Justo is a fresh voice that bridges the gap between young and old hip hop lovers in an oversaturated digital age of music.
Remulak & Justo are currently in the mastering stage of their full project ‘KNOCKTURNAL’ which is due to be released later next year.
