Don’t be foolish now, let’s all assume you already know you should be listening to Just P. Give his cheeky new track, it’s a short one but is still better than half of the tracks we’re sent on a weekly basis. Hoohoo claims indeed.
Yoshi Riot’s new video. Ten points for the mildly unimpressed cute nephew cameo.
After the terrible events that occurred over on the East Coast of America two months ago, New Jersey-based website Hip-Hop Speak Easy have come together with a whole bunch of various artists to release a benefit LP to help the people effected by Sandy. This is a fantastic project and well worth your time and donations. It’s a perfect example of the roots of hip-hop, giving a voice to the voiceless and we at HHLAT strongly suggest you at least give the LP and a listen and share it around. A lot of love and respect goes out to our fam on the East Coast, and the dudes at Hip-Hop Speak Easy for doing this. For a more detailed explanation check the message below.
We are The Hip Hop Speakeasy, a website dedicated to spreading the word of good hip hop music. As you
may know, a tragedy struck the Eastern coast of the United States last month and wreaked havoc upon populated
areas such as New York City and the Jersey Shore. That tragedy was Hurricane Sandy, and although it may not
be in the news as much anymore, its affects are still being felt daily by the survivors of this natural disaster.
Residing in New Jersey ourselves, The Hip Hop Speakeasy’s head-operators and owners eLL. & Stone decided to try and
help out those less fortunate than we were during the storm. So we reached out to a plethora of talented hip hop artists
and compiled this project that we are presenting to you today. This project is entitled 12 ’til Infinity. A play-on of the hip
hop classic, 93 ’til Infinity, our album represents hip hop’s power in today’s society as we show our support for victims
of Hurricane Sandy and the encouraging notions we make towards others to donate.
That being said, we sincerely hope that you can take the time to share our project with others in an effort to encourage
others to donate to Hurricane Sandy relief for those still suffering. The project is 24 tracks deep and features global talent
from artists like Ta-Ku, Willie Evans Jr., Deacon the Villain, Devine Carama, FlamesYall and more! Endless dope
hip hop covers this project from beginning to end as the underground hip hop community comes together to support victims
of the horrible natural disaster that struck our coast.

Alright, listen up yeah? The title of this beat tape is ‘Cheeseburgers & Cigarettes’. Now honestly, try and tell me that you’re not going to at least give it a listen merely on the strength of it’s AWESOME name? Don’t be a sucker. Not to mention that the dude is called Crackzilla. Oh my days, hip-hop how I love thee.
Anyway, forgetting all that; this is a really eclectic and interesting release, that will satisfy the hardcore beat kids just as much as the weirdo ones. Don’t sleep. I personally don’t think the first track is a completely accurate showing of Crackzilla’s full skills, so give it a good 3 track listen before you make your mind up. If there are any MCs interesting in working with the dude you can contact him via the various links below. Beats for $20.
For fans of BLESTeNATION’s Fafu, Kno, Madlib.
For a man that’s retired, Lowkey’s doing a fair few bits. Not that we’re complaining, not at all!
Fancy some luuuuv, luuuvv songs? Minus the cheesiness of course.
You might remember we recently promoted Dev Dapree’s earlier releases, which you can get your mitts on over here.
Supar Novar and Cre8 go in!
Listen to this, give your ears a treat. This is how you do a hip-hop ‘love’ song without being cheesy or corny, take note.
Motor City brothers Apollo Brown and Guilty Simpson have wasted no time pounding the pavement for Dice Game. In the past few weeks Apollo has toured Australia and New Zealand while Guilty did a lean and mean west coast run that spanned Los Angeles to Seattle before hitting the NBC/Universal lot to be on Carson Daly’s show.
Today, while our road dogs get a breather, they release the all new, non-album, bonus track “Parkour” to announce the release of their new limited edition wax (ivory vinyl w/ bonus 45 featuring two non-album cuts). This first bonus, named after the military training parkour where practitioners need to burst through an obstacle course using the terrain to gain advantage. In similar fashion, Guilty takes the terrain laid out by Apollo Brown and powers through it like a linebacker with a vengeance.
