With the first chant of “Oi Blud!!!” you can tell that Trademark Blud isn’t taking and prisoners on his latest single “PMA” off his Rediculus produced Platformz debt “Blud on the Brain”.
Spitting bars that instill his visions of social rights and wrongs, Trademark Blud rides the track from Rediculus with an aggression that drips of the anger and pain he has endured on his journey to get his music out to the world. Whether he’s talking about what qualifies as success or he’s talking about how society breeds people who are never satisfied, Trademark brings honesty to his lyrics that few can match. He’s not pulling and punches and he’s not hiding anything he feels.
All he needs is his life and his fam. 1Love.

Born in Chicago, Illinois, NIZM is not your traditional Hip Hop MC. His lyrics are insightful, incorporating the rawness of old school Hip Hop; fused with the influence of the New Era, and the refinement of a gentleman. NIZM is the son of a preacher, and a school teacher so it’s clear that he was destined to be a man of great words. His message is the music and he is in the process of transforming the Hip Hop genre with class, knowledge, and the love of music.
Evolved now to a mature artist with a catalog and a band “Those Guys” which has garnered a following, an educated artist with 2 Master’s degrees and a gamut of unique experiences to share, NIZM is well-traveled, well educated, but a student of hip-hop and life, NIZM speaks to those that remember a different time of lyrics. He has updated the art form and his maturity has not hindered the grit that inspires the formable generation. NIZM has been endorsed by many well-known brands such as: Adonis Skates Think Don’t Shoot; in Toronto, McDonalds, Walmart and Dickies.
After his first project, NIZM began to develop his own imprint, and in a time when record labels make stylistic and musical choices for their artists, NIZM decided to endorse himself and develop a style of music that was tailored to his beliefs. Creating a sound that is unparalleled to the mainstream hip hop word. As a true artist, one will always be affected by their life and experiences, so NIZM’s next collection of music stemmed from the emotional aftermath of current events as well as profound personal lost. In 2003 He released “The Exodus” which was his ode to leaving Chicago and graduating with his B.A. in Architectural Studies. As he continued to transform his life into music, he created The Myth, The Legend and The Likeness.
In 2008 after receiving first Master’s Degree he felt a change yet again in the development of his aesthetic and bore the new imprint Refined Gentleman Music the mature generation of Hip Hop personified. Working with newfound Producers of Tim Jonz, RoyceBirth, and DJ T-Wrecks, he recapture his sound in “Redfined Xpression” in 2010, which was also internationally distributed on D-Rom.
Changing his view on music versus his sound and watching the industry landscape, and changed by his work in Haiti in 2010 after the Earthquake, and other life lessons, NIZM has begun to release EPs, forging the sound of one artist, and one producer. He wants to create a symmetry of music where the producer as well as the artist create on one accord. Since then he has released a critically acclaimed EP with Tim Jonz entitled “A Rapper & A Drummer” (2010) that featured the nationally recognized skate anthem “Skate Music” and cult hit “DESWAGGAFIED 1&2. Skate Music was in fact nominated for an Adrenalin Award which is the equivalent of the Roller Skating Community’s Oscars for best song in 2013. A Throwback to his old sound with Toronto producer RoyceBirth “N-Proof” (2010) and most recently a creative project with fellow skater and The Assassin showing parallels to his life and Marvin Gaye’s life aptly titled “Marvin’s House” (2012)
Looking to further establish the NIZM brand on a larger but more consistent scale and with new music brewing, NIZM is the breath of fresh air that we all say we want to hear. The question is are you ready for it?
New projects include: a 7-inch project with nephew and known rapper Milo, a project with longtime collaborator Rediculus, N-Proof 2 with RoyceBirth, and two new projects with Tim Jonz including a live album. NIZM is an accomplished professor as well as artist, if you are looking for someone that can advance the past with a glimmer of hope for hip-hop’s future; look no further. Look to NIZM.
