The Universal Zulu Nation UK are proud to present the indisputable Godfather of Hip Hop, Afrika Bambaataa, on tour and in conversation to celebrate 40 years of Hip Hop culture this November for Hip Hop History Month.
This series of events will showcase Afrika Bambaataa’s considerable live showmanship in a series of live gigs, as well as his unique take on the history of Hip Hop in a number of talks at some of the UK’s most prestigious institutions, including the British Library, British Film Institute and the Leeds City Museum. The live tour will be partially in conjunction with the legendary Grandmaster Flash and celebrated rapper Yasiin Bey, formerly known as Mos Def. The tour is in partnership with Academy Events
These events also celebrate the 41st anniversary of the Universal Zulu Nation:

Crew Bboy/Bgirl Battle!! 4 vs 4
The way it works:
It’s s based on tactical battle to win the competition!
4on4 comp, team needs to talk and decide among themselves who they gonna bring out first to battle…..
If you only have a 2 man crew you can still enter but you better be on point.
a 3 man crew can still enter also.
On every round, the judges decide who won the round. Who ever lost that round gets eliminated in the battle and it keeps going till there is nobody else to beat or the 5mins is up!
BUT there is a twist, if the loosing side starts winning rounds, it can bring back a member of his crew in the game to battle till the end.
This concept will challenge your tactical experience on battling and your stamina as a Bboy/Bgirl. Plus the added bonus of dancing to a live band will inspire, inform and challenge your freestyle ability with live music.
Each battle gets given a 5minutes to battle, in the end of this time limit, who ever got the highest score wins the battle.

Following in the success and critical acclaim of 2013’s cinematic epic ‘Thanks For Trying’, producer The Last Skeptik has reunited with BBE for his new EP, lovingly titled: ‘I Don’t Even Like You’. It takes an electronic twist on his previous project, whilst maintaining the emotional, instrumental, soundtrack-rap. 7 tracks deep, the EP features two vocal tracks – one, with MTA Records own Dream Mclean, and the other with pop starlet FEMME.
The first leak from the EP is a trap/rap/electronic madness entitled ‘Show Me’. It’s already been played by MistaJam (1xtra) and Tom Ravenscroft (BBC 6 Music), and premiered on Complex.
