After a break from releasing music our Portsmouth brother Spitfire released this gem back in July that he’d been sitting on. It’s not often I get hit up with music that I can relate to every track on the project but that’s what we got here with his EP ‘Redundant Ramblings‘ featuring dope production from Badhabits (Split Prophets, Krate Krusaders) and the iLL cuts we come to expect from DJ Jabbathakut.
Spitfire said about the EP “So after 3/4 years I’m finally releasing this project, it was around this time 4 years ago when I wasn’t in the best of places and after taking some time out to focus on myself , i just didn’t wanna release any music anymore until I ended up making a few more tracks randomly and well here we are….”
Whether you’re a fan of Hip Hop or not, you’re going to find content that you can relate to with this EP as Spitfire lays his soul through his lyrics on the musical pages provided by Badhabits . ‘Redundant Ramblings’ is like a chapter of life that anyone who has been through a dark period or witnessed a friend or family member go through hard times will resonate with.
Salute to Spitfire for this piece of work, this release is largely responsible for the site functioning again and giving me the kick up the arse I needed. I’m just sorry it’s taken me until September to get it repped on here because it deserves your listening attention.
Go check it out and there’s lots more new music in the Spitfire vaults coming soon!
