High Elders are an international duo comprising of underground emcee Gentle Jones, from Delaware, USA and Auxiliary Phoenix, an experimental hip-hop produce from Carlow, Ireland. This album is the first full taste of what this duo can do and remains highly varied, with everything from speaker shaking hip-hop to rapping over progressive rock beats.
The artwork for the album was made by Lou Beach, an artist who’s done album art for many major artists such as Weather Report, Madonna, Carpenters, Godley & Creme, Blink 182, etc.
“Forest of Pencils” was also made Album of the Week by DJ Dan Hegarty on Ireland’s biggest radio station RTE 2FM & 2XM!
