Jose, aka @MarquisMontes, comes through with his second Narcicyst collabo for his recently released Leap Of Faith EP and collaborative project. With Narcy opening up the vaults to his music, Jose took the concept of the positive vs. the negative in the dance of life, and created an interpretive visual art piece merging his vision with the title track off the EP. With leaps, sing language and interpretive dance, this video attempts to show the delicate balance between making out from struggle, and releasing out of it.
The Narcicyst’s Leap Of Faith EP…..
The Narcicyst returns with his new fresh sound, leaping into horizons and music he’s never shared before. This new 6-track EP contains some of his most personal content yet, speaking on jumping over the hurdles of independence in music and life that you are bound to relate to. As the seminal release on The Medium, his multimedia arts label and culture brand, Narcy has teamed up with his listeners to create an ‘art and action project’ entitled the Leap Up. He is asking people to log into the tumblr page and add their work, music, writing, photos, art and videos to engage directly with the public. He will be releasing extra bonus tracks, as well as accapellas for producers to remix as the process grows.

It’s a big year for our friends over at Hip Hop Kings as they make the transition of rebranding to HHK Mag, which we wish them all the best with. Here is a previously unreleased video of a FOURTY FIVE minute Q+A session Ryan Maxwell hosted with Masta Ace, Wordsworth, Stricklin and Marco Polo during a tour of the UK last year.
They stopped off in Leeds for an exclusive “an audience with”, and played “Son of Yvonne” to a 100+ crowd, then Ace opened questions to the floor.

“This song is the sum of all my most genuine fears on the path to success. I didn’t try to speak for everyone when I wrote it, I just felt like I needed to express all the fear, loss and fuck it that goes on in those quiet moments away from the mic. There’s triumph in the end though. When through it all you realize that there’s nothing you would change. You accept the challenge and know that it only makes the success sweeter.” – Trek Life
