This one’s for all the weed smokers out there. Whilst I’m not a big fan of green myself anymore, Stix is a big enough one for the both of us so it’s okay we balance each other out. Then again, whether you smoke or not, this song is still a heavy track whatever your vice may be, and Dutty’s created a pure vibes song to get blazed to (or drink a nice cup of tea).
“This is the official music video to the track “Ganja Anthem” lifted from Big Dutty Deeze’s debut album ‘The English Gentleman’ which is produced by Chicago producer Rediculus. The album was released in July 2012 on Knowledge Giving Birth Records, USA which is digitally distributed by Def Jam/Island.”

Never disappointed when it comes to these guys; always gold releases from this camp.
This is the final single before the follow up to last year’s Cold Winters & Warm Whiskey. The mixtape, properly titled ‘Cold Winters & Warm Whiskey 2’ will be released later today. Check the links for further details on the mixtape release.

A really lovely tribute to single mothers, and the women that raised Chris Hydro.
WHATCHA WANT!?
This is such a dope track. So many rad layers and breaks to it; Nameless is a fantastic producer, and Nametag plays off his beats so well. Get this whilst you still have ears that work, we’re all getting older.
Ill Individuals are starting to become regulars over here at HHLAT, and there’s a good reason why; they keep dropping jam after jam. Even though it’s February, put this track on, close your eyes and pretend it’s mid-July.
Erica Kane has the wordplay! Ashamed to say I’ve never heard of her before, but if you’re a true backpacker then you’ll love her. Then again, if you love style (which you should, because why else are you looking at this site right now?) then you’ll be a fan of her too.
Check her song ‘Do For Love’, original lyrics over the Tupac track.
For fans of Tupac (was that too obvious?) Jill Scott, Lupe.
Another joint from Dre Murray. He’s fast becoming one of my new favourite rappers. Dude has such a great grasp of storytelling and narrative that a lot of other rappers just don’t even come close to. Alex Faith, Sean C. Johnson, B.C and Dirty Rice are all stand along artists in their won right, and each one of them gives the song its extra depth. You lucky lot get to download this for free, now ain’t that just the nicest?
