Famed Detroit rapper Obie Trice opens up about getting shot at back in 2005 while driving along Lodge Freeway a night before New Years Eve, and explains what was going through his mind after being shot in the head. He also reveals whether he knows who tried to shoot him and if he’s paranoid now.
As a vital part of Immortal Technique’s Viper Records roster and with upcoming shows with Tech & Brother Ali & Rock The Bells, 2013 finds Akir bringing the spotlight back to music with his new forthcoming LP The Plan; which will be released on 24-09-0213 words aren’t just words and his album title is not just an album title. “The Plan is just that” Akir states, “my map for a musical journey on the way to becoming better.”
The Plan is produced in majority by Akir and his beat-making parternership with Ty Steez (The Sound) along with Omen with features from his “Rebel Army” brothers Immortal Technique, Poison Pen & Swave Sevah and is a major-step forward for the lyricist and producer.
The Plan promises to make 2013 a huge year for Akir as he says “this album has another level of music presence, taking my pre-existing formula to a larger audience. My first-project, Street Edition, was for the streets, but now I am aiming for the world”!

We are pleased to announce we are now taking submissions for our next mixtape project ‘HHLAT + TrickstasWorld.com ‘Worldwide Connections Vol 1’, to be hosted by our homie Tricksta (ParkStreet PR, UK Runnings mixtape series) who has been down with us since day one.
Now we’ve been up and running for 2 years this month and had views in around a 130 countries and built relationships with emcees, producers and PR Companys around the globe, we thought it was time we showed you that love back and have the opportunity to submit tracks for consideration.
The idea/concept behind this mixtape is to show how Hip Hop transcends borders and is globally united. So with this in mind we are looking for tracks that are international collaborations, so that can be say a UK artist working with an overseas emcce/producer or vice versa, wherever you are in the globe, we want to hear from you. Whether you’re an emcee, producer, record label, PR company that we’ve helped in the past or if your reading this for the first time we want to hear from you if you have something that will suit this project.
