Hip-Hop emcee Chris Gatsby is the latest young talent to emerge from the Bay Area’s rich hip-hop talent pool. Today, he’s dropping the visuals for the track “Keep It Moving,” produced by Boston beat maker Statik Selektah, the lead single is off of his debut album, Middleground: Morals & Money to be released on January 21, 2014.
The Bay Area native describes the song as being about “that philosophy of keep it moving, stay true to what you believe in, the principles you grew up on. In the first verse I talk about ‘I keep it old school / I live by old rules.’ That’s what I stay true to.”
Years in the making, Gatsby says of his debut album, “With life in general, I feel that as humans, no matter what walk of life you’re from, we all strive to find the balance in life, and I describe that as the middle ground … I believe that finding that balance is always affected by money and morals.”
‘Middleground: Morals & Money’ will drop January 21, 2014. Production is shared by Illmind, Statik Selektah and Da Hermit.

In light of Jay-Z’s 44th birthday, Skyzoo & Antman Wonder release their collaboration EP “An Ode To Reasonable Doubt”. The 9 song EP shows Philly composer Antman Wonder recreating the original beats with live string sections, horns, etc.. while lyrically its written from the perspective of Sky placing himself in the emotions that Jay displayed on the original but from his point of view as opposed to reinterpreting Jay’s life.
This project is available as “Pay-What-You-Want” with incentives, release. You have the option to download the project for free or pay something and in turn get something. The EP includes a Digital Booklet with other bonus material including a new song by Skyzoo called “Lights Out”
