Zoner hits up Lab Tv with his debut music video for “Music With Relevance” filmed and edited by @Merki_Artist
The West Coast’s premiere political poet is back, Ras Kass spits razor sharp reflections over fast rising Detroit producer Apollo Brown’s most buttery beats. Special guest Pharoahe Monch grabs the mic and digs into his memory to extract the catastrophic chatter of his inner digital domain – laying waste to lesser emcees. Add to that Dilated Peoples’ Rakaa Iriscience on the hook and we’ve got blast off.
‘H20′ is the first single from Apollo Brown & Ras Kass’ upcoming album “Blasphemy.” Shout to VIBE for the premier
The new album comes out October 28th on Mello Music Group, pre-order the album on iTunes.
From Hosannah of Uppanotch debut album “It’s ALL Academics”, the Prospek produced lead single “Yes Today”(below) is a trip into the realm of ironies. The introspective verses delivered by the talented New York artist are dynamically blended with soulful additions from Cleve, C. Ellison and Nate “Suave” Cameron.
Hosannah was born in England, and emigrated to Queens, NY with his family when he was just three years old. He and first cousin / rhyme partner Danon eventually formed the Hip-Hop group known as Uppanotch after realizing music allowed them to express themselves in ways nothing else could. A researcher with a Ph.D. in mechanical engineering, Hosannah’s academic side fortifies his art, and both skills support one another in a balanced ratio.
He and Prospek’s creative relationship started at Inner Recess music studio in New Orleans, LA. They have since collaborated on a number of occasions, including Prospek’s well received live instrumentation album, “The Polyphonic Congress“. Hosannah’s new project “It’s ALL Academics” will be released October 14th, and boasts production from Prospek on nine of twelve tracks. Kiza gifts the effort with two tracks, and The Clydes chip in providing music and vocals for one song.
Album available on iTunes, Rhapsody, Amazon, Spotify, Google Play, and many online outlets. T-shirts available soon @ uppanotch.com.
Kool Keith sat down with VladTV and briefly discussed meeting 2Pac once and seeing him hang with Suge Knight in the club.
Keith reveals that he always thought Knight was a good guy, but noticed that he really had Los Angeles shook at the time, with certain clubgoers sneaking out the back door whenever Suge would arrive.
After powerful solo projects, Eastcoast, Huey Newton and M.B have reunited as The Organised Rhyme Family (T.O.R.F) and are making waves with their new album ‘Renaissance.’ With hit singles ‘Four Walls’, ‘Biographic Flow’ and ‘I Wonder’, the combined act have delivered a soothing sound to the UK Hip Hop scene.
Through creative lyrical ability mixed with social commentary, The Organised Rhyme Family deliver their passion, thoughts and experiences on rhythmic soul.
Produced by The Organised Rhyme Family and Rhyme Family associates, this tight collaboration will propel the album into the UK hip hop scene with an unprecedented force.
Work for ‘Renaissance” began in early 2013 with the first track ‘Chance’, produced by Gemini; the only song from the album not produced in house. ‘Back With A Vengeance’ was soon to follow, featuring Lal from BBC Introducing in the introduction, commending The Organised Rhyme Family. Recording took place not long after at Jah Troopers Studios by producer and engineer Hussla D of Jah Troopers Music.

Here is the first official single off Devine Carama’s upcoming album, ‘Believing In Forever’. The track entitled “Satan Radio (66.6 FM)” is produced by S&G Beatz. ‘Believing In Forever’ is slated to drop on Devine’s born day, October 27th!
Devine Carama said about the track “I often wonder what comes first the chicken or the egg… Does radio simply play what the general public likes or does the radio bang us over the head again and again and again with the music until we start to like it. Back in the 80’s & 90’s urban radio had balance in its substance and sound. Today everything sounds the same for the most part and the majority of the music’s themes seem to be self destructive.”
