East London-based rapper/producer Nick Black, whose new mixtape ‘SMBS’ (Select Music By Steering) will be dropping on 1st June 2015.

To announce the news the rapper just unveiled a free DL of ‘Luxor’ featuring London rapper Stinkin Slumrok, who has been making heads recently working with producers like 7th Dan, Morriarchi and Sam Zircon.

About the track Nick Black says ‘Slumrok and I have known each other for years and were recording a joint project which doesn’t have a name yet. I liked ‘Luxor’ and thought it fitted the sound of ‘SMBS’. It’s a dark 60bpm track which swings around with the bassline.”

Dyslexia & Sik Sense return with their 3rd joint release and 1st full length album ‘Habits’. After smashing the back doors off the underground with their first two EP’s; (the jazz tinged “Enter Your Own Caption” and the futuristic ode to work “Employees of the Month”), the duo took a sharp left turn and wound up in a dark, dusty, dank, fritzel-esque basement where they embraced a mind state best left well alone.

“Habits” introduces a much darker soundscape than previous work. Inspired by, and drawing from themes generally avoided in Hip-Hop; addiction, anxiety, disdain and malice, coupled in equal parts with egotism, self-doubt and a love stain size smattering of self-deprecating humour which leads you on a dizzying spiral into the minds of Dyslexia and Sik Sense. With features from Fugitive 9 kingpins; Cosmo TX, Cuda Brown, Moe Hendrix, Sintax 0 and Whyze Oner you are welcomed into the re-emerging pattern of habits with an awkward handshake and a tipped Stetson.

“Under The Influence” is a brand new documentary series currently in production. It will tell the story of Hip Hop, Reggae and Soul in the UK and Celebrate the icons that paved the way for today’s music scene. The documentary will be released later this year.

London-based rapper and poet Patch drops his debut video  “Crack The Bottle” on the heels of the release of his debut project, The Pirate EP. The track serves as the first single, with visuals that find the young rapper running the streets of London, a city brimming with equal parts talent, grit and heart.

With an honest storytelling style the rapper says the ethos behind his Drunken Philosophy movement is embracing our inner contradictions.

“I turn up but I’m also very deeply spiritual and philosophical. These characteristics are often considered a contradiction but I don’t want to choose. The Pirate theme? Well, I’ve travelled a lot and drink a lot of Rum.”
