Rapper/Producer duo Strangers Of Necessity are back with another dope collab, this time joining forces with one of Chicago’s most promising artist, Vic Spencer. ‘Dark Purple’ finds Fooch and Vic verbally attacking major labels, watered down rappers and naysayers over some gritty hard hitting production from CoryAyo.
From competing in DMC championships to serving in the military, Toronto’s Mike Labo knows a thing or two about working under pressure. Watch as the Canadian throws down a brief scratch routine exclusively for DJcityTV.

Theodis Soul is a 20yr old emcee born in the borough of Brooklyn,NY but relocated to Houston, TX where he was raised majority of his life. Not your typical southern artist you hear on the radio these days, Theodis Soul fuses the traditional roots of hip-hop with an experimental side that he keeps crafting through his experiences/perspective of life. Theodis continues to challenge himself daily to obtain growth & become the person he in-visions for himself which translates into his art & showcases a versatile style that he hopes to solidify so his perspective of life can travel & plant seeds wherever his art is heard.
Theodis Soul releases his latest record “Pharaphernalia,” which he crafted as a rendition of “Hotel California” by The Eagles. Canadian producer, Omito lays the canvas for this smooth rendition which allows Theodis to weave a story of a lifestyle that we all can see/relate to. Through out this story, the Houston raised emcee showcases his creativity with rhyme schemes & a catchy hook that would have us all screaming out “We don’t give a fuck B*^ch!”

Inspired to start rapping by his uncle at age 9, Apocalypse the Pressure has been making music for over 30 years. When he was just a boy, he used to make tapes in local DJ Ron’s basement and sneak down to listen to them, laying the foundation for his music career. Known in the music world for his features on Delicious Vinyls “Prime Cuts Vol. 1” and Domingo’s compilation album (“Same Game/New Rules”), his work with his partner Screwmanew in the group United Grind Fam (“No Plan B”), as well as two albums done with Masta Ace (“Disposable Arts” and “A Long Hot Summer”), this is his first solo album. A native to Brooklyn, Apocalypse the Pressure hopes that his music shows people that no matter what the struggle is, it’s possible to overcome and find success.
Coming with the first single “Addicted” (Produced by RuzBeatz) off his debut album “The Wake Up Call”, Apocalypse says of the song “This is my ode to not being able to quit on my dream of making it regardless of the hardships and disappointments that come with it.”

Megadon drops a visual for “Reformat” of his album “No Man is the Best” featuring the legendary Large Professor from Main Source and DCQ from Medina Green. The video pays tribute to some of the fallen hip hop landmarks as we see Large Professor going on a record dig at Big City Records in Manhattan which closed in 2012. There’s also an iconic shot of both Megadon and Large professor at the old graffiti mecca 5 Pointz in Queens which was destroyed in 2013.
