After successfully releasing four albums, Afu -ra presents: Perverted Monks, Life and Times of Russell Ballenger; Altered States; Respect 0.0 three singles, countless features, (Snowgoons; Dj Lord Jazz; White Shadow; etc.) and over 100,000 mix CD’s including Street Heat Vol’s1-6“ all mixed by DJ PF Cuttin; 3rd Earth, Respect is back with “Work Ethic”!. With the mantra FAMILY 1st at the helm, Respect chose carefully and added artists like Gorilla Nems, his brother D.Wayz, and FABID member Mike Rone. Production followed the same formula with beats from CJM family IDE, Dj Black Panther, and the Waxaholiks.
All of “Work Ethic” has been mixed by DJ PF Cuttin from the original East Coast hip hop group Blahzay Blahzay. Its been Mastered by two time Grammy winner, Tom Coyne, Managing Partner of Sterling Sounds (known for mastering records for A Tribe Called Quest, and others, and RajStar of RVM (engineered for Busta Rhymes, as well as a host of others. Production by Waxaholiks, IDE, AURC, Black Panther, Whallie (FRANCE), Layzor, and JusBEATS.

The album was recorded whilst producing Indian Ink as RamRam Ssadhu with Bambu Hands, together we chose the name Statue Stance and the name of the project was intended to be a follow up to Indian Ink entitled – Nepal: The Nomads Notepad. Entirely produced by Bambu Hands the songs I wrote were memoirs of my experiences leaving India & crossing the border into Nepal.
All proceeds from this album will be forwarded to the D.E.C please give generously during this difficult, heart wrenching time.
“Can’t Keep The People Waiting” is an EP from The Audible Doctor featuring Astro, Hassaan Mackey, Consequence, Bumpy Knuckles, Guilty Simpson & John Robinson. The EP is entirely produced by The Audible Doctor.
In early April, Kansas City’s DJ B-Stee went up against some of the country’s best DJs at the Red Bull Thre3style US Finals. The “Cutting Room” turntablist faced fierce competition from seasoned DJs such as Dynamix, Trayze, and J. Espinosa, the latter of which took the crown.
Although B-Stee didn’t win, his routine was creative and well-executed. Those who didn’t attend the battle can now watch him perform it exclusively for DJcityTV in this video.

In accordance with the celebrations that occurred across the globe, HIP HOP HONOURS UK in conjunction with Westway Presents hosted a ‘40yrs of HIP HOP CULTURE CELEBRATION’ on THURSDAY 11th DECEMBER 2014 at THE FLYOVER, Portobello, London W10.
This event was made up of solely live music & art performances, spanning 2 generations and all of the elements of Hip Hop Culture. Old-skool, mid-skool and new-wave artists has participated: DJs displaying the skillset of a turntablist, B-boys, poppers & lockers, rap performances, a live paint by graffiti artist. This display of the whole culture stood side by side with interviews from legends/elders, and the screening of the History of Hip Hop Culture.
This event was hosted by T J Chill (Zulu Nation), records were spun on the night by legendary hip hop DJ MK, DJ Kuku and DJ Harry Love with special appearances by previous awards honouree Rodney P. Other artists included, RU1 FAM, Young Ty, PowerLords, DJ Jam Fu, Traffik and B-Boy/ B-Girl open cypher. Plus, interviews from MCM (Caveman), Danny John Jules and from the performers.
