I’ve been spending the last ten minutes without success to try and post this video, so for all those lazy bones out there who find it too much effort to click a link give me a break and please click it. It’s worth it.
We got sent a video of Akilah Brock talking about hip-hop in general, and females in the industry. She’s pretty on point, and you can’t fault her ideas and observations about female rappers. She even explains the reasoning behind her album cover. The interviewer says and asks slightly stupid things (“up and coming rappers, I should really say female rappers” No, you shouldn’t she’s a rapper she doesn’t need a gendered title), but it’s a good interview nonetheless. You should watch the video whether you’re actually a real hip-hop head that cares about the scene, or just a dumb wagon sucker that just hopped on for the nice flat peaks. I don’t know where I went there, but hey whatever it’s the internet I can talk jibba jabba.
Go check the video and check Akilah Brock, her new album is out now.
Oh my gosh, oh my days. Everything about this track. From the samples, the beats, the content and the mcing. I’ve only been listening to this for a short while, but I’m in love already. Replay. “Swag this, swag that. Get your shit together if not then let me have that”.
New track from Local-Mu12 Member THE 17th entitled “Rubbish,” produced by Vanderslice and featuring Spoke In Wordz from Denver, CO and Fokis. “The 17th is an artist from New LondonConnecticut, and he and I actually have an entire album sitting in the stash that is crazy. Here is the first single from his upcoming EP, Free Music, which will be dropping in late August. The 17th is vicious on the mic and his word play is something else” Says Fokis.

For those of us that don’t live in the hotter parts of the globe, I guess we can’t really understand what a truly hot summer feels like. Whilst those hotter countries have summers that last a good 3 months, ours usually last 3 weeks; but since it’s actually hot and sunnier today in deepest darkest Britain then I thought now was a perfect time to post 2 Dash Tone’s new track ‘Summertime’.
It’s what you’d expect from 2 Dash Tone, a schmoooth joint with infectious beats and well delivered flow. It comes from his now release mixtape ‘La Belle Epoque ‘, and also coincides with his fourthcoming album ‘Thick As Thieves’. In short the man never stops working.
I’m going to listen to this before I hit the parks and overpriced bars this weekend. Stay gold kids.

Weird little video, but a catchy track nonetheless.
