Official Music Video for ‘Against The Current’ – the lead single and title track to the multi-dimensional project by Chali 2na.  A series of 5 EPs that run the genre spectrum, combined with a book-of-art that helps bring the music to life.

more information at: http://www.pledgemusic.com/artists/chali2na

Get involved on a personal level by making a pledge toward the production of Chali 2na’s first-ever visual art offering.  A coffee table book depicting the evolution of 2na’s career through original artwork and photography crafted by the man himself.  From his early days before rhyming, as a vandalous graffiti writer, to his present day passion for oil painting, and everything in between — Chali takes you behind the scenes with never before shown photos from various stages of his music career while in front of the camera as well as revealing his blossoming skills behind the camera where he’s become legendary on instagram (http://instagram.com/chali_2na)

In true collaborative fashion, “Against The Current” is a project delivered direct from Artist to Fan, credited directly to the support of Fan to Artist — and speaks to anyone and everyone who has ever overcome obstacles on the journey to find success doing what you love to do, even if that’s not what’s currently popular..

limitless mixtape cover350

Marv-ill Superlungs is a new breed of beatboxer that is known for his power and originality.  Marv can make a rig shake like no other with his powerful bass, drums and melodies and can make any crowd scream and shout on cue. He has been a finalist in the 2011 and 2012 UK Beatbox Championships and is also 1 half of the first ever UK Team Beatbox Champions “Ill Bits” with Hobbit. Marv also works with The Beatbox Collective (TBC), a group of the top beatboxers in the UK and has performed as several festival this year with them including Bestival, Boomtown, Shambala, Lovebox and Boom Bap.

Marv-ill is best know for being the “Beatboxing MC” and is one of only a few people in the world to be able to beatbox and rap at a very high level and is even able to do both at the same time. He combines these skills with his knowledge of music production and his looping equipment to create a full show where all beats are made live in front of the audience. Marv-ill then adds his own lyrics, literally being the modern version of a “One Man Band”.

Marv is a dedicated and professional workshop leader and mentor, working with schools and youth organisations to deliver beatbox and rap workshops of the highest standard. He focuses on making these workshops fun, challenging and educational. The workshops help with creativity, confidence and teamwork as well as alternative view on music theory and practicality.

Marv-ill released his first mixtape; “The Limitless Mixtape” this summer. Inspired by the film of the same name, this mixtape is all about the potential of humanity, the lies we are told and the major obstacles keeping us from a peaceful, cooperative way of living. He has poured his heart and soul into this project with beatbox freestyles, self produced vocal tracks and lyrics over his own beats as well as instrumentals of tracks by a host of hip hop heavyweights, from 2pac to The Roots to The Pharcyde. This mixtape can be downloaded at www.marvillmusic.bandcamp.com for free or a donation.

The future is bright for Marv, with several projects in the pipeline and more upcoming releases planned. With many shows in circulation and development, such as Beatbox/Opera collaborations, The Beatbox Collective, Beatbox Theatre, Solo Beatboxing and Beatbox/Rap Loop Shows, he has shown he can put on amazing and crowd-pleasing shows for all types of events and audiences.

Supported: Tinie Tempah, Dizzee Rascal, Akala, Lowkey, Katy B, Devlin, Griminal, Ghetts,  Shola Ama, Omar, Kele le Roc and many more

TV Appearances: Beat TV, The Paul O Grady Show, Sky Sports (ring entrance for Ryan Rhodes), Brainiac’s Test Tube Baby, Cbeebies Space Pirates

Venues: The O2 Arena, Wembley Stadium, Hootananny, Various O2 Academies nationwide, Plan B, Jamm, Bestival, Lovebox, Boomtown, Shambala etc.

@NeekTheExotic Ft @DJJS1 – Real Deal Hip-Hop [VIDEO] @ILLADRENALINE

After blessing the hip-hop world with classic releases by Rashad & Confidence, Beneficence, Purpose & Confidence, Da Beatminerz, The Purist & Roc Marciano and The Legion, Ill Adrenaline Records proudly presents another banging piece of raw and authentic hip-hop by Flushing, Queens legend Neek The Exotic.

Neek The Exotic first stepped on the scene in 1992 with a dope verse on Main Source’s classic joint “Fakin’ The Funk” and continued dropping underground gems since then, always backed by Large Pro on the vocals and/or beats. The longtime-friends collaboration series was highlighted by last year’s critically acclaimed Fat Beats released album “Still On The Hustle.” Neek The Exotic decided to step out of Large Pro’s continuously following shadow and work on a release totally without his extraordinary beat-making/rapping partner.

Neek The Exotic’s new EP “Comin’ In Piles” contains the underground smash hit “Get The City Warm” featuring Bumpy Knuckles & Satchel Page plus five other rough and rugged hip-hop nuggets with amazing production by Confidence (of Rashad/Purpose & Confidence), The Audible Doctor (Brown Bag AllStars), Ras Beats and Tommy Tee on the bonus track “Overseas With Officials” featuring Large Pro.
