Bad Meaning Good is a BBC documentary originally aired on TV in 1987 and put together by Tim Westwood.
The documentary provides an insight into how the culture emerged in London and who the key figures in the scene were
The video features Pride, Daddy Speedo, Fly Boy Dee, MC Crazy Noddy, London Posse, Trevor Nelson, Sipho, Run DMC, DJ Fingers, Cookie Crew, Wee Papa Girl Rappers and more.
This is a compilation download featuring 43 artists. It has been put together by Kevin Epps to raise funds for a friend who has been down on his luck of late.
It’s best to let Kevin explain the project…..”This project came about because of one of my brother’s, Brandon Scott Summers, was going through some tough times. He’s been out of work for some time, and he is on the verge of getting evicted from his apartment. He’s actively looking for work, but just can’t catch a break yet. So, I thought I could set something up so that us artists could help out in SOME way, regardless of how much money we had. A donation drive! To put you in the mind of one of those telethons where there’s like a talent show involved. But, with a compilation mixtape that’s downloadable for free with the option to donate anything you can. You can enter in any price for the download. 0 for free, or any dollar/Pound/Euro amount for a donation. What a turnout! We got 43 artists to combine their talents for this 41 song compilation! All donations will go to Brandon Scott Summers to help him at least stay in his home for another monent to buy him more time to find some work. We all, especially Brandon, appreciate anything you can do. If you can donate, just enjoy the sounds of pure music!”
Now I’ll be honest fam, I’ve Ummed and Errrred about posting this, what with the the global economic situation we all know someone like Brandon who could do with our help especially here in the UK, so what makes Brandon special???? Well you know the music is DOPE for starts, and if 43 artists can come together to help a brother out, then the least i could do is give it a post. This is Hip Hop, we are a family, lets help one another out more…..

Prior to his untimely death Capital Steez participates in what could be his last recorded cypher. Steez stops by the Ethik pop up shop to spit some fire with fellow Brooklyn MC’s Wati Heru and Dirty Sanchez. Capital Steez left us way too soon but the beauty of music is that it lasts forever. R.I.P

Oh my days. Hamster motherfuckers, take note; even Cappadonna’s chilled out songs have more bite than 90% of the stuff on the radio. J Glaze created such simply, but solid production for this one, hats off. Pull your life together! Wu life forever.
From Wu-Tang Clan Member Cappadonna’s newest offering “Eyrth, Wynd & Fyre” 2xLP “Pull Your Life Together” (Prod. J. Glaze) The Double Disc album drops 2-26-13 on RBC RECORDS and is a MUST OWN for all Wu-Tang & Hip-Hop heads alike as Donna Cappa Goins takes the listener on an introspective look through his development in the game.

After the terrible events that occurred over on the East Coast of America two months ago, New Jersey-based website Hip-Hop Speak Easy have come together with a whole bunch of various artists to release a benefit LP to help the people effected by Sandy. This is a fantastic project and well worth your time and donations. It’s a perfect example of the roots of hip-hop, giving a voice to the voiceless and we at HHLAT strongly suggest you at least give the LP and a listen and share it around. A lot of love and respect goes out to our fam on the East Coast, and the dudes at Hip-Hop Speak Easy for doing this. For a more detailed explanation check the message below.
We are The Hip Hop Speakeasy, a website dedicated to spreading the word of good hip hop music. As you
may know, a tragedy struck the Eastern coast of the United States last month and wreaked havoc upon populated
areas such as New York City and the Jersey Shore. That tragedy was Hurricane Sandy, and although it may not
be in the news as much anymore, its affects are still being felt daily by the survivors of this natural disaster.
Residing in New Jersey ourselves, The Hip Hop Speakeasy’s head-operators and owners eLL. & Stone decided to try and
help out those less fortunate than we were during the storm. So we reached out to a plethora of talented hip hop artists
and compiled this project that we are presenting to you today. This project is entitled 12 ’til Infinity. A play-on of the hip
hop classic, 93 ’til Infinity, our album represents hip hop’s power in today’s society as we show our support for victims
of Hurricane Sandy and the encouraging notions we make towards others to donate.
That being said, we sincerely hope that you can take the time to share our project with others in an effort to encourage
others to donate to Hurricane Sandy relief for those still suffering. The project is 24 tracks deep and features global talent
from artists like Ta-Ku, Willie Evans Jr., Deacon the Villain, Devine Carama, FlamesYall and more! Endless dope
hip hop covers this project from beginning to end as the underground hip hop community comes together to support victims
of the horrible natural disaster that struck our coast.
