IKES’ latest project ‘The Intermission: Last Call‘ is out now on iTunes.
Consider this the first of many posts today of some ridiculous hip-hop (as always son). Reef is one of my all-time favourite rappers ever since I first came across Army Of The Pharaohs, and since then he’s consistently put out bangers, and teamed up with fantastic spitters. Blacastan is such a solid rapper, catchy as anything but in no way ever diluted. I really can’t find a bad word to say about him, and the two rappers compliment each other perfectly on this track. The production and scratching is reminiscent of that nice summer feeling we’ve all forgotten over these LONG winter months. I can’t wait to start rocking this song over a BBQ. A pure golden track.
“This song is taken from Blacastan’s forthcoming LP “The Master Builder Part II” 2 X CD (disc 1-full length album; disc 2-mixtape version of full album plus bonus cuts) which is now available, hosted & mixed by Doo Wop & Mr. Peter Parker. Featuring appearances from Slaine, Celph Titled, Moe Pope, OuterSpace, Mr. Green, Reef The Lost Cauze & more.”

So this is my first real day off on my own, without some sucker giving me reh teh teh in about shall we say a fortnight. I have of course spent the day doing some real scandalass shit. You know, vacuuming, having a bath and watching Law & Order: SVU (The greatest thing on TV), those real crazy gangsta road tings you’d expect any one of the HHLAT Squad to be getting up to. Fuck man, I might even switch some shit up and go downstairs and make myself another tea after I’ve drunk this one. Hooohoo!
Where is this going you say? It’s my excuse for not having loads of content on the site all afternoon. The boys are all working and I’ve been getting up to the previously above mentioned scandalass shit, so please keep checking back this evening for all that awesome content you’ve come to expect from Hip-Hop Life & Times. We REALLY appreciate any and all support we’ve been given since our inception, scene supporting itself.

This video came out a few weeks ago, but it’s still a sick track featuring Bristol MC (Yeeeeah) Twizzy and Ramson Bad Bones. ‘Not Seeing It’ is from the From The Good, the Bad and the Ugly Tape that’ll be release later this year.
Check out the video for the track ‘GHETTO’ by Kel Fst featuring the Nigerian born, now residing in London emcee Cashino NDT and Zino, the track is produced by UB-Grant. The video was filmed in Nigeria back in January, its just another reason why i love my job discovering Hip Hop from around the globe, i’m really feelin some of the Hip Hop coming out of Africa at the moment so expect to see and hear more on HHL&T

This is not really a music video but it is the band’s official upload for the track.
The song is a perfect mix of technique, flow and content. The number of styles on this track is truly a testament to how varied grime can be. The instrumental proves that grime MCs can rap over traditional instrumentals as well.
Some of their other tracks are available here http://bit.ly/syLimV and their Twitter is @delusionists.
If you want to help support the band then you can swing by here and vote for Ben to appear on Dot Rotten’s next release.
Loe Pesci leaves the battle circuit to release the first single off of his phenomenal solo album GOOD X 2.
The single features Joe Rogan and is produced by Moon Boots who manages to evoke both Rza and Stevie Wonder with the instrumental.
This is a perfect example of what to expect from the album, great soulful samples and laid back beats with a chilled out old school vibe.
Each track has custom artwork which is all album cover worthy.

Loe Pesci is a part of the Hip Hop group OG Hindu Kush who’s album “In 3D” is one of 2011s underground gems, clearly Loe Pesci is one to watch this year.
Costello and G.I. back with another great video
