This was put out in November of last year by AC, but he’s going to be releasing his full-length ‘Keep it Together’ it’ll be featuring ‘True Story’. This is a deep and pretty sad, but as always a solid track.
Also: “BBC asian network’s playlist ppl say they can’t rotate the song cos it is too ‘young a record’ . Or are they just scared of racist people complaining? If you think they should play it text 81869 and request ‘PLAY TRUE STORY BY AC’ or email that to asiannetworkonline@bbc.co.uk” – A.C

Basically, I couldn’t think of a better title, or at least something that rhymed so ‘Classics Sunday’ it is. I’m sure you can probably guess what this Sunday segment is going to be about, but I’ll give you a quick explanation. Every Sunday (unless we’re all too hungover or busy getting bussssyyy) we’ll post some classic hip-hop tracks, films, interviews, BBoys, graff pieces and all that good stuff. Capeesh? Now when I say classics, chances are we’ll probably bend that bit to throw a few releases that have come out in the last 5 years. Chances are they might be things that we think are classics, but you think are trash. Well, sorry buddy but that’s the beauty of having different musical taste, but I’d say 90% of the stuff we’ll post up, you’ll like or love. We’ll post probably around 3-5 CS posts throughout the day, so keep an eye out. I hope you enjoy. Happy Classics Sunday, day, daaayy.
If there’s any artists that you’d like to see on this Sunday segment, then by all means get in contact via our Facebook or Twitter and tell us, or comment on this post and we’ll get it popping.
I’m going to start off with some Tupac, because he’s my favourite rapper of all time and every day is a Tupac day. (No holograms ever.)
If you’re feeling extra fruity, here’s a rare Tupac interview when he was in jail.

The latest video from Reps Reppatwa, spitting over a remix of Rick Ross’s Amsterdam. Personally I’m not a fan of Rick Ross, but the production is pretty solid, and I think Repsi does a better job of the track than the original. We’ll be shooting a freestyle/16 bar with Reps next weekend so be on the look-out for that’ it’s going to be gold, kids.
You can also get a free download over heerererere.

Our homies over at Hip-Hop Kings sat down with the Wu-Tang legend, Raekwon for a cheeky interview about Wu-Tang’s and his solo plans.
On a side note, I always find it funny when rappers from various countries or cities go to different places and say “yeah this *insert city* reminds me a lot of my hometown/country”. Ha.
Big ups to the dudes over at HHK!

Straight West Coast vibes! Circa Snoop and Dre 95! Don’t be fooled by the intro, this is a banger.
Fresh of the internetz comes London rapper Cracker. He’s been making a real name for himself on the underground ever since he dropped his debut release ‘The Book Of Days EP’ in the autumn of last year. The EP created a buzz that led to him being asked to record freestyle videos for a string of independent broadcasters including Urban Vibe UK (UV UK), LMTA (Less Talk More Action) and a video with Cee Major for DJ Gone TV. Cracker has also battled at various events including the countries biggest and most popular battle league Don’t Flop.
Now in the lab working on his ‘yet to be titled’ mixtape project, Cracker has hooked up with Urban Vibe UK to bring us this superb music video for the first leak from the project entitled ‘Pocahontas’. This is a great display of the lyricism, flow and microphone presence that Cracker is becoming famous for and a brilliant taster of what to expect. The track is produced by Cee Major & Gemz and is the perfect soundtrack for Cracker to spit his words of wisdom on. Already being championed by various tastemakers in the UK Hip-Hop scene this is a future Hip-Hop classic.
The future looks bright for Cracker as he continues to write, record & complete his second project and debut mixtape, as well as working on a brand new six track EP that will be an official iTunes digital release. It’s time to get up on this talented wordsmith who is destined for big things!

Some days we’re sent a plethora of bad, and I mean bad submissions. Sometimes it’s so bad, we, the HHLAT team almost think that it’s a joke, and it was sent to us for laughs. Hoho no. But sometimes our inbox/Twitter/Facebook is so full of pure hip-hop goodness that we really can’t keep track. Today is one of those days, and this video by Kb da Boss ft John Q & Sucoo is pure hip-hop goodness. It’s a remix of the Janet Jackson cover ”Til It’s Gone’, which in turn was a cover of a Joni Mitchell song (I really hope I didn’t have to tell you, and you already knew that. The dudes in this video know!). I love the video and the song in equal measure, it’s a straight for-the-homies-by-the-homies joint. It’s as if they all got together and decided they’d just hang out, make some music and have a good time. Now that’s hip-hop in a nutshell. All three MCs stand out in their own right, and manage to navigate the obstacle of not overshadowing each other, but compliment one another really well. If you’ve ever been in a relationship with a loon or someone who didn’t know how to treat you like a human, then you’ll love this track. Considering the content it doesn’t come off cliche or overly negative, if anything it’s a pretty optimistic song. The production was really on point, and as ever I can’t be mad at turntables being used properly.
We’ll be following the dudes in AMH and Sucoo in the future for sure.
For friends of Murs, Ant production (Atmosphere/Felt), Q-Tip, Common (the good stuff!).

We received a super nice email from an L.A-based MC named Doug. The message was so sincere and honest in fact, that I was worried upon actually listening to his music he would be a horribly shallow rapper talking about bitches and bling, and we’d have to chuck that super nice email in the trash (it’s an almost daily occurrence kids). Well luckily enough for us, and you, his skills were as good as his manners. The production in ‘A Trip’ has so much jazz in it that it had me instantly nodding my head like one of those dog things you have in the back of your car. His content is intelligent, but not pretentious and I like how his flow very much works with the instrumentation of the tracks he spits over. I’m generally excited to hear Doug rap, and we’ll be definitely keeping an eye on this dude in the future. For fans of Aesop Rock, Ecid, 2-Dash Tone.
P.S for those of you that think good manners won’t get you far, being a dick won’t get you anywhere at all. Especially in underground genres. Take note.
