Here’s a dope single from Gambit Ace & Mikey Smith who drop their debut single from their forthcoming release FTLOM VOL1 which is out May 12th 2014 via http://www.ftlom1.bandcamp.com. Love how the beat is lively and the lyrics are heavy with a massive salute to all their supporters. Quality track that’s got me excited to hear the rest of FTLOM. Big tune.
The brand new release Suicide door produced by naughty grammer beats is blasting out!!! The first release from Wilstar that has made it into digital stores from itunes, Google play, Amazon play, spotify and Deezer. Visuals provided by the talented tembo studios this hard hitting catchy chorus track is definitely worth in investing in. Will Bower aka Wilstar is a talented rising musician from Norwich! (don’t let the small city confuse you, this boy is making big moves) Every track he drops he’s showcasing himself growing as an artist. The progression is so blatantly obvious from one video to the next, he’s proving that hard work and consistency are what makes a successful musician!
Wilstar’s music is that raw grime, hard hitting, hard spitting kind of music. With a hip hop edge Wilstar has formed his own spin on multiple genres creating a unique sound. With catchy chorus’ his craft is appealing to those who don’t necessarily like or understand that intense underground sound. Will Bower’s first official release ‘World away’ is from the up and coming mixtape ‘when there’s will there’s a way’ is just an insight into how true, honest and endearing his lyrics are! His flow is insane, his words are powerful and his vision is clear! Wilstar is ambitious, driven and incredibly talented! I urge you to take the time to put your headphones in and listen to the craft Wilstar is perfecting! You will not be disappointed!
Rapping and basket, what’s better? Nothing. I know Stix will attest to this. I feel this guy’s pain, I’ll be 5’3 forever, never ever will I be able to slam dunk either. For fans of Blacastan, Pacewon and Brother Ali.
I had to go through some bad, bad music until I came across this gem. It was worth it though, and I’m really feeling the jazz-based beats courtesy of producer Clouded Slum. They work perfectly with his articulation and flow. The narrative and theme of the video itself is quite fun too, and makes an interesting visual! If you like early Mos Def, Dessa (Doomtree) and Evidence then you might be a fan of this dude too. More like this please.
A really well researched and cleverly written track from Akbar. A clear narrative with the initial beginnings of the transatlantic slave trade, that brings us up to the present day touching on the prison system, slave mentality within hip-hop and wider popular culture…oh blahblah..actually you know what? The content within this song does a far better job of explaining itself than I will. Great lyrics, great production and I’m a fan of the horns. Go listen.
Yeah, yeah I know a lot of people are getting sick of J Dilla beats and remixes, but since the content is good and Revelation has used clips from Boyz N The Hood, you’ll just have to trust me on this one. This is a really enjoyable track, and I’d be interested to see what else comes from the Revelation camp.
