Black Sheep is a hip hop duo from Queens, New York, composed of Andres “Dres” Titus and William “Mista Lawnge” McLean. The duo is from New York but met as teenagers in Sanford, North Carolina, where both of their families relocated. The group was an affiliate of the Native Tongues, which included the Jungle Brothers, A Tribe Called Quest, and De La Soul. After getting together in 1989, Black Sheep debuted in 1991 with the hit song “Flavor of the Month” and later released its first album, A Wolf in Sheep’s Clothing, which gained them praise and recognition in the hip-hop community for the album’s unique rhythms and intelligent lyrics. After six years together, Black Sheep disbanded in 1995, but decided to reunite five years later.

The Doctor’s Orders celebrate their 10th Birthday this year and to mark a decade of bringing many of the best live shows and parties to London they have brought together their most incredible live line up to date with US legends and home grown talent all performing live.
DJ Premier is known worldwide as the father of Boom Bap Hip-Hop. One half of Gangstarr and one of the most in demand producers ever. His powerful beats have been used by the likes of Jay-Z, Biggie Smalls, Snoop Dogg, D’angelo, Janet Jackson and even Christine Aguilera. To showcase his work he has put together his very own live band of expert musicians who will be playing his greatest hits live for this their very first and only UK Show.
The Four Owls are greater than the sum of its parts. As the headline act of the High Focus Records stable comprising of Fliptrix, Verb T, BVA & Leaf Dog have made bigger waves in the UK Hip-Hop scene reaching millions on YouTube views and rocking shows all over the world.
Fatima is the most incredible voice to emerge from the UK bass scene. Soulful, emotional and completely unique her debut album was rightfully chosen by Gilles Peterson as his 2014 album of the year. Along with the Eglo live band she will be delivering a powerful set to make your hairs stand up.

Proud Camden and Beats Working are thrilled to announce the Godfather of Hip Hop production will be landing in London for an exceptional one-off gig on the 27th of May. More than just a show, Pete Rock will be delivering a true masterclass in DJing, showcasing the finest tracks from his illustrious career.
One of the most influential artists in the history of hip hop, Pete Rock ranks alongside the greatest in the game, with J. Dilla once exclaiming “I wanted to be like you” and Kanye West famously proclaiming he was the “new Pete Rock”. The producer originally came up in the golden era of the genre in the 90’s, catching the attention of labels, listeners and fellow beat-makers after releasing two of Hip Hop’s finest classics: “All Souled Out” and the “Mecca and the Soul Brother” with legendary CL Smooth. His profound influence on sampling and music production throughout the last 25 years is immeasurable.
June sees the anticipated release of Petestrumentals 2, the sequel to the 2001 classic that helped define the hip hop instrumental record, making this night the perfect chance to witness one of the legends of Hip Hop as he brings an amazing legacy to London for this phenomenal one-off show at Proud Camden.

In association with the mighty Boom Bap Festival, Beats & Bars is bringing out the big guns for the good people of the West Midlands for the official Birmingham leg of their warm up tour. As you will probably agree this is one serious line-up including a live performance from UK Hip-Hop legend SKINNYMAN!!! He will be performing a 40 minute set including some classic material, something YOU DONT WANT TO MISS!!!!
Also on the night we will be joined with live sets by Birmingham’ City’s MALIK from the well respected MOORISH DELTA 7, REDBEARD from Eat Good Records & Brum Town and well known rapper and battle emcee NERO DB. We will also have a set from Wolverhampton’s BIG DUTTY DEEZE, his first performance for over a year, Coventry legend SHAKEZPEARE, Platformz Records artists and Beats & Bars regulars TRADEMARK BLUD, BIG RIBZY and ALEX-IS.
Support on the night comes from a string of local well respected DJ’s including TRICKSTA from PARK STREET PR, Birmingham legend PERCY FILTH, Wolverhampton veterans DJ AMO, LATE and TOM BLACKWELL and resident for Beats & Bars Birmingham and Worcester, GUVNOR POLO.
