As Vandal Savage from Nottingham, UK prepares to release ‘G.O.D.S’ album expected for release in 2017, he has dropped this dope self produced EP ‘1000th Prestige’ serving as a precursor. The artist paints pictures in your mind with his lyricism exhibiting hard-hitting wordplay and accompained by sick features from Micall Parknsun and fellow Notts emcees Cappo and Juga-Naut this EP is levels on levels!
I always look forward to new music from these guys, Millennium Jazz Music present ‘Take 5.2 with Dave Brubeck’ by The Jazz Jousters production collective as they break their eight month silence with this tribute which they dropped to the great American Jazz pianist and composer, Dave Brubeck on his fourth memorial day – 6th December 1920 – 5th December 2012.
The word was put out to some of the usual suspects from the collective and also a few new beat heads were invited to do one of their old skool style ‘lab off’ sessions. Sit back, relax and vibe out to the dope sounds of The Jazz Jousters as they have delivered yet another project of quality (This saved me from a complete meltdown wrapping Christmas presents this morning!). Have a listen for yourself here the album is a free download/pay what you like digital only release on Bandcamp.
Be on the look out for the start of the Jousters fifth season with the start of a new Locations series. The first session will be Locations: USA dropping in February on limited vinyl and cassette tape. Pre-orders coming soon!!

NYC veteran emcee Saint Ivan The Terrible links with French producer L’Undercover of the Production team Sismographe for “The Inevitable (All Or Nothing)” EP.
7 tracks deep the features on the EP are kept to a minimum allowing Saint Ivan to display his raw lyricism over the Parisian beatmakers ill beats with just appearances from rappers Dro Pesci and Don Streat adding their heat on the track “Carnage” and the super dope UK turntablist DJ Jabbathakut adding his flavour to the cuts to complete this dope EP.
High Focus Records’ first ever official karaoke video for ‘Teeth Marks’. Earlier this year High Focus Records sent Jam Baxter on a jet plane to the other side of the world to work on a new album with producer extraordinaire Chemo, who had recently relocated there. Upon his arrival, Jam Baxter checked into his temporary residence for the duration of his stay, called Mansion 38, of which his forthcoming album is named after. After a crazy 2 month stay, the duo have created a unique masterpiece, which picks up where the critically acclaimed ‘…so we ate them whole‘ left off.
It seems right that Jam Baxter’s two favourite tracks from the forthcoming ‘Mansion 38’ album, ‘Teeth Marks‘ & ‘Soi 36‘ be combined into a singular item, limited to 500 copies never to be repressed. This limited edition hand numbered seven inch vinyl has been officially released today and is available to purchase from the High Focus Store, all good digital platforms and Bandcamp.
In Jam Baxter’s own words: ‘I’d completely lost the plot by this point in my trip. Too many late ones in Mansion 38. Shot in Dak Lak, Vietnam. Feel free to drown out my voice with your own using the handy singalong feature’.
Incidentally, the location for the ‘Teeth Marks’ video shoot doubles as the location for the iconic photo used for the ‘Mansion 38’ album cover which can be seen below for the very first time!

The Hyphenate – ‘Game Over’ is a lyrical hip hop song that is aimed at the corny, wack, fake rappers out there. The music video also shows respect to the legendary great hip hop emcees. If there is an artist in the background of this music video that you don’t know, please make sure to look them up as they are true emcees that represent real hip hop. Scratching/Cuts by The Ringleader Dj Ace.

“I ain’t tripping on the golden age music changes all the time in a growing stage, and I ain’t hating on the drill and trap but it wouldn’t be here without that Ol boom bap.” -Precise
Precise provides a clear and concise viewpoint that does not isolate perspectives.
“That Ol’ Boom Bap” is track number 13 on Dj Tekwun’s release ‘The Boom Bap Project Vol 1’.
