Following the underground success of his last LP ‘Evil is the route of all money’ UK emcee Terra Slim returns with his sophmore solo album W.O.G (Work Of God). At the launch Terra Slim will showcase some of the material from this new project as well as revisiting some of the more known material from ‘Evil is the route of all money’

Def Dee is heating up the Northwest this winter with some new production – this time with a new free Ep “Zulu Delta”. The young Seattle producer wanted to get heads open with something fresh from his crew. Enter ZAR. One of the most original and clever emcees in the Northwest, ZAR is used to spitting bars and breakin’ backwoods with his homie Dee since junior high. The years of chemistry show, as ZAR sounds right at home over Dee’s 96 inspired production. “Getting creative was the easy part… I was just trying to express my own personal interpretation of Hip-Hop,” says Zar, “This Ep was intended to show that there still exists classic lyricists.”

Atlanta based Hip Hop artist Spectac hits us with his second official full-length release on HiPNOTT Records, returning after an almost 3 year hiatus. For his return, the “Almost Famous” veteran emcee has enlisted the help of long-time friend, producer and deejay, Shakim. Together the duo brings us their first release titled For the People on February 19th.
Long-time Spectac fans can look forward to a more aggressive Spectac as he tackles recent issues surrounding politics, relationships, and other relevant subject matter. Production-wise, For The People is producer Shakim’s first official effort… though it would be hard to tell as the veteran deejay has a keen ear for soulful samples and displays impeccable drum work.
The first single, “Moment Of Truth” is a symphony style posse cut that features underground stalwarts Skyzoo, Warren Wint, Sha Stimuli and Senor Kaos. Two bangers from UK producer Pete Cannon with vocals from Detroit mainstay Guilty Simpson. Pete turned to Guilty Simpson to provide vocals for the track “This Year” which brings his unique brand of production incorporating boombap drum breaks with spaced out twisted synthesizers.
Pete Cannon is one of the hottest producers on the scene in the UK at the moment having worked with the likes of Sway, Del The Funky Homosapien, Stig Of The Dump, Million Dan, Jam Baxter and Dirty Dike and more.
