Sometimes the blurb that the artist sends us pretty much says it all, and if I wrote anything else I’d just be paraphrasing them. At least we admit to you when we’re copy and pasting, other sites can’t get effort of that copy click busy. This record however is without a doubt a very fun and varied and above all else, an extremely positive album, with some really catchy songs that will stay in your head for hours, namely ‘Here We Go’ and ‘Everything is Everything’. No bling on this record, it’s all about the lyrical content. Although if I’m honest the whole release is super catchy and had me repeating it all day. For fans of Prince Ea, Sho Baraka and Andy Mineo.
“Butterfly Sessions: Remixed by Freddie Bruno” is the new release from Dallas TX emcee Sivion. It’s his 4th release to date and is a complete remix of his album “Butterfly Sessions”. The project gets a remix treatment by fellow Dallas TX artist/producer Freddie Bruno. Both represent the Deepspace5 crew (Mars ILL, Playdough, Sev Statik, Sintax the Terrific among others).
“When I first thought about remixing Butterfly Sessions, I really wanted it to be unique and nothing like the original project. Freddie Bruno had been exploring some new production styles/techniques with different equipment and sounds. What I had heard from him at the time was so full of growth and life, musically, that I had to see if he’d do it. So I asked him and he was down, immediately. A super personal track from one of the UK’s finest, Skuff. Darkside is a really open song, talking on past and present friendships, and the story behind the Delegates Of Culture. If anyone’s ever lost a few friends and/or been really shown who your real fam are, then you’ll definitely relate to this song.
