Hypomanic Productions present this collaboration with singer songwriter Matt Henshaw. He founded the BBC Radio 6 supported band Censored, whose credits include playing the Lee Jeans and Topman stages at Leeds and Reading festivals. In 2010 where as a solo artist Matt was selected by NME, Dizzee Rascal and Groove Armada to perform live at the LoveBox festival. Early in 2013 he teamed up with rapper Reggiimental to release album Coming Around of which songs were performed at the Godiva festival, following Neville Staples of The Specials.

Xist Music and Jahaziel have released the lead single from Jahaziel’s forthcoming album due out later this fall. “They Don’t Know” features a guest appearance from his uncle, and reggae legend, Maxi Priest.

Jahaziel and his family do community outreach with The Eden Network in North London. “This song is a social commentary describing the darker side of the community I live in. A side that many within it want to escape, and one that many outside of it would rather ignore.”

Fresh off of winning his very first Grammy with Tedeschi Trucks Band for Best Blues Album of the year in 2012 (Maurice was the horn arranger for the 11-piece ensemble), Maurice “Mobetta” Brown has also appeared on LP’s from Santigold, Ski Beatz, Prodigy, Talib Kweli, Cee-Lo, Diddy, Musiq Soulchild and countless others.

Maurice is prepping his latest release, Maurice vs Mobetta, or, rather, Maurice’s Jazz side versus his Hip-Hop persona. Maurice vs Mobetta features appearances from Talib Kweli, Consequence, Prodigy, Jean Grae and production from Fyre Dept, DJ Scratch and Maurice himself and its a mere sampling of what’s in-store on Maurice vs Mobetta; as Brown has more in store, not only on this new effort, but coming down the pike. Know that Maurice vs Mobetta is a gumbo sound lab for this dynamic young trumpet player-arranger-producer.
