‘Grinding’ is the latest track from CONFZ, who is joined this time around by New York soul singer, Aalvin.
Following up to his recent collaboration with Jamal Woon, ‘Name & Number’. CONFZ’ latest sees him dealing with the struggle of ‘Grinding’, whether legally or otherwise, and how people view those who ‘grind’. Sonically the Bill Skeng produced track shares a similar laidback feel to ‘Name & Number’ and is a great indication of the direction in which the East Londoner is headed with his forthcoming release.
The collaboration between CONFZ and Aalvin came about spontaneously, the former having literally only heard about his would-be collaborator the night before. “I hit him up telling him he’s sick, then vice versa. The next night we were making this track!” explains CONFZ, “Aalvin currently lives in London and I wanted him to add some soul to the track to make it deeper and get the message to sink in.”
CONFZ has steadily been building his reputation as one of the UK’s most exciting lyricists through his various online videos and free mixtape releases. The next few months will see him continuing to rise as a prolific artist in the UK scene, with a number of upcoming releases, including a joint EP with another homegrown rising star, as well as a collaboration with electronic producer Distinction for his upcoming mixtape RVST.

At just 18 years-old, Long Island native, LBO is making a name for himself as a rising young lyricist who is wise beyond his years. As an avid beat-boxer, LBO composed his first song at the age of ten, citing his lyrics as an emotional outlet that was incomparable to the sensation of anything else. Since then, LBO has become accomplished and earned a following for shredding instrumentals on numerous freestyle tracks and garnered attention for his “Old Soul” mixtape.
LBO has just released a collaboration with Las Vegas spitter and XXL Freshman, Dizzy Wright. The track features LBO trading bars with Dizzy over production by DJ MostWanted. Be on the lookout for LBO as he prepares a new release for late 2013/early 2014.

‘Childhood’ is the sepia-tinted second single from London Hip Hop Producer/MC duo, SUBCULTURE SAGE
After receiving praise for their debut release, ‘Overly Dead’, from the likes of BBC Radio 1 & Radio 6, NME, MTHRFNKR and Rob Da Bank, Subculture Sage now offer a second serving of nostalgia dipped soul with the single, ‘Childhood’.
Released under Subculture Sounds’ Twisted Hearts banner, the producer has built a soulful hiphop track with an old school vibe, whilst MC Hypeman Sage spits nostalgia, reminiscing on growing up in London when we were “hip-hopping, backpacks with our caps backwards”.
Enlisting Yoram Vazan, the man who recorded all the early Wu-Tang and Gang Starr records in a mixing and mastering capacity has definitely given the project its hip-hop credentials, and on ‘Childhood’ we hear a track with a genuine classic feel reminiscing over summers past.
