Well, well you don’t need to convince me that you’re better than Kanye. It really doesn’t take much to persuade me these days. Although saying that, Leon Marin has done a solid job of completely destroying the instrumental of ‘Send It Up’ from Kanye’s recent record. It’s a heavy and relentless spit, and Leon Marin gave the production the anger it needed. Best listened to before a job interview, and after two cups of coffee.

I was a bit worried that Gino The Ghost’s awesome name might be the only good thing about him, and I’d end up being a disappointed kid at Christmas. Thankfully that wasn’t the case, and GTG delivers with some controlled and East Coast tinged verses, accompanied by the vocals skills of Isaac Castor (formely known as Gameboi) and Jon Connor, and production from the ever versatile Kinetic (whatever, why pretend that we’re not already fans?).
Yes, yes, yes! It may be angry weather in London town this afternoon, and sure my homie and I might be too scared to leave our flat for fear of getting soaked like drowned rats, but hooohooo don’t this song by Sivion (featuring production by TheARE and cuts by DJ Aslan) make me forget that. Such a positive jumping track. I don’t even care that it’s the middle of October.

A pretty catchy and instant head-bopper (yeah, yeah) from Jamaica, Queens local MC Verse Essential, with the production talenst of Kidd Called Quest (always a fan of that man, mayyyyne). It’s reminiscent of early Nas, as the tagline and blurb will tell you, but that’s never a bad thing.
