‘ThaGreats’ is taken from Verbal Skillz second album ‘VerbalVision’ dropping May 2015. The joint pays homage to the great emcee’s and the influence they had on all of hip hop. This dope track and video features UK don Micall Parknsun and Boston heavyweight emcee Acrobatik (The Perceptionists) joining Verbal skillz to pay respects to the best to ever grab the mic.
DJ Stix cuts the hooks over this Endemic Emerald head nodding beat.

Their new Self-titled EP embodies quite a musical package for the listener with just 7 tracks. It covers a variety of soundscapes and concepts but still manages to hold a cohesive blend that flows easily on the ear. The project masterfully captures all of the traditional essences of hip-hop and creatively weaves it into a contemporary gumbo pot with jazz fueled luxuriousness and plenty live instrumentation as a backdrop. The very crass-in-your-face type of songwriting that Lyrical and Anterluz exercise makes for a great layer in concoction with the colorful production that The Usual Suspects have finessed. A powerful collaborative team indeed, and showcasing just that with their first offering to the world. This is Cold As Hell.
Throughout the years, Brooklyn’s Saga has had one advantage over the countless aspiring rappers — a sixth sense for authenticity. The drums and samples that fuel his music are nothing short of hard hitting and carefully chosen to match the depth of his lyrics.
For Saga, there is no division between commercial and underground Hip-Hop, only what’s real. His rhymes are not anti-anything. Rather, they serve as a mirror through which you and he view himself, and the world. It’s through his music, that he hopes you find ideas that resonate with yourself. Saga understands that people are multi-faceted, so he wants to appeal not just to the hustler or fighter, but also the conscious, and responsible human.
When asked how he wanted to be remembered, Saga replied with a simple metaphor. “When you break up and write down what happened, you capture something that never changes. If you rewrite that story every year, the details may change, but what you feel each time remains the same.” Those raw emotions that you experience when you hear Saga’s music for the first time may never go away.
It’s those very emotions that Saga has successfully been able to capture with his debut effort, From Out of the Shadows. Comprised of ten tracks, produced in most part by the Brooklyn by way of Toronto beatsmith, Marco Polo, Saga at long last steps from out of the shadows to tell his story.
