On his tongue-in-cheek response to the Eminem-led “Detroit vs. Everybody”, 21 year old DJ/funk producer from Boston “Camino” creates a slow, disco-hip hop style backing – and assembles an impressive posse of lyricists to join him on the track.
Boston mainstays Tim Nihan, The Original Big J, Latrell James, Riggz Two Nice, and Zzz are joined by NYC-based Bayce member Cameron Butler, Philly avant garde king Darko the Super, and newcomer Hergverse (her first verse!)
The Order of The song is
1st half: Tim Nihan/The Original Big J/Cameron Butler/Latrell James
2nd half: Zzz (female rapper)/Darko The Super /Riggz Two Nice/Hergverse (female rapper).
The joint is lifted from Camino’ latest release ‘Freshman 15’ the debut album from Boston-based disco DJ Camino, premiering his first-ever set of original tracks that, like his DJ sets, effortlessly span across decades of sounds- funk, disco, boogie, house, and hip-hop. Camino supplements his sample-heavy production with live performances from a diverse roster of friends, crafting a thoroughly fun party-friendly album that sounds equally at home both in the club and on an iPod.
