The latest offering from the team at Abnoxshuz Entertainment and Spynal Records comes in the form of ‘The Programme’, an 8 track collaborative EP from crew members M.A.B (who is also a third of the group 3 Headed Beast, along with Twizzy and Jinxsta JX), EdXL (who has recently returned to the scene after a break, and is a well known member of the Manchester Hip Hop community) and Diligent Fingers (Founder of Spynal Records, and a multi talented artist).
With production coming solely from Diligent Fingers, who provides a diverse selection of beats ranging from classic boom bap to beats that The LOX wouldn’t be out of place on, and mic duties shared by all three. ‘The Programme’ is a well rounded project that showcases the skills of the MC’s and producer on each track. Although only 8 tracks long, the EP covers a variety of topics, from the defiant ‘Misfit’ to the nostalgic ‘Back Thru The Ages’, where each rapper shares their early memories of Hip Hop and their formative years, to the rousing ‘Family’ with its catchy, almost reggae influenced chorus.
Each MC features on all the tracks, which makes for some interesting contrasts of style and delivery, which means that each track presents a new series of topics, flows and lyrical ability.
All MC’s are on point throughout the project, with each holding their own on every track, which in turn makes the tracks even stronger.
It is nice to hear progressive production as well as the classic sound that so much UK Hip Hop is trying to maintain, and this eclectic production leads to natural variation in rhyme styles and patterns, keeping the project interesting throughout.
Personal favourites for me include the afore mentioned ‘Family’, as well as the blistering ‘Lightning Rod’ with its dramatic piano laced beat and savage rhymes, although the whole EP is quality from start to finish.
All in all, yet another release to add to the success story that is slowly starting to be written by the hard working Abnoxshuz and Spynal team.

M.A.B (Most Annoying Bastard) is a founding member of Abnoxshuz Entertainment, a solo MC and 1 3rd of the group “Three Headed Beast”. M.A.B has been grinding on the underground Uk Hip-Hop circuit since 2010, in that time he has released 12 projects available on his bandcamp and has shared stages performing with the biggest names in the scene.

EdXL has been grinding on the Uk Hip-Hop circuit since the early 2000’s and is a known figure in the Manchester Hip-Hop scene, since that date he has had 3 projects released available on the Spynal records or Abnoxshuz Ent bandcamps. EdXL has been missing from the scene for a few years while taking a break but is now back stronger than ever with more projects in the pipeline to come.

Diligent Fingers is a member of Abnoxshuz Ent and the founder of Spynal Records, A solo MC, Singer & Producer for both labels. Diligent Fingers has been grinding on the underground Uk Hip-Hop circuit since the early 2000’s and has released 12 projects in that time available on his bandcamp. Diligent Fingers is a known figure in the Manchester scene as he has worked alongside most of the up and coming tallent out of the north west either through producing for them, featuring on tracks or filming and editing videos. Aside from that Dil has performed at most of the events hosted in the northwest to date.
