The Doctor’s Orders are excited to mark the release of feature length Stones Throw Records documentary ‘Our Vinyl Weighs A Ton’ with this official London launch party.
Following a screening and Q&A Stones Throw head honcho Peanut Butter Wolf joins us for a 2 hour AV set. Trusted world wide as a musical tastemaker and arbiter of cool he will be mixing a set of music videos and film clips that have been an influence on him and the releases on his hugely popular record label. From Madlib to J-Dilla, MF Doom to Aloe Blacc and Dam-Funk to Mayer Hawthorne the impact the label has on Hip-Hop and today’s wider music scene can not be underestimated and tonight will help you understand why.
Representing the label’s influence on home shores we have a team of brilliant DJs all of whom would not be spinning, making or releasing the music they are were it not for Stones Throw’s impact. Mr Thing is without doubt the UK’s best Hip-Hop DJ and will often be heard cutting up much of Stones Throw’s catalogue in his floor filling sets. Paul White is one of the school of producers influenced by the work of Madlib and J-Dilla. He has collaborated with Stones Throw artist Guilty Simpson and has the ‘White Sands EP’ coming out this month with Homeboy Sandman the label.
Alexander Nut has followed in the path of Peanut Butter Wolf in setting up his own hugely popular independent label, Eglo Records, releasing music from Floating Points, FunkinEven, Fatima, Flako and others (who’s names don’t all start with F). As ever bringing the whole party together is Spin Doctor who’s love of J-Dilla is no secret.
Collectively there is little doubt of the weight of these guys’ collections and talent so get ready to celebrate with them as they stand together and shout ‘Our Vinyl Weighs A Ton’

While many other artists try and be discrete with their intentions, it’s impossible to question the intentions of ABGOHARD with a title like YUNGPURPLEDICK. A cloudy, atmospheric project that relies on heavy sexual references and over the top subject matter; the album plays on the New York based rapper’s tried and true methods of experimentation and off the wall sounding material that is best enjoyed with your girl and a few brews.
AB lays it all on the line for your enjoyment from beginning to end, resulting in a quasi-ODB experience that will be the soundtrack to your after party. With tracks like “Yung Tiger Woods,” Acid Time” and “Ass8,” the addictive, hypnotic, sounds are inescapable from the Inner City Kids member’s love for feminine features.
YUNGPURPLEDICK includes guest features from Alvie, Mona Lisa, Supa Sorta Human, and production from the likes of Gregar and b00 Radley, among others. If you don’t already have a playlist set up for Valentine’s Day, ABGOHARD’s got you covered.

02. So Wet (prod. by Tv nicks)

05. Yung Tiger Woods (prod. by Gregar)

Press Quotes:
• “If you’re not yet up on ABGOHARD’s endearingly off-kilter music, he’s part of Aaron Cohen’s Inner City Kids clique and his named-for-Pokemon ‘Zubat’ mixtape is an overlooked underground gem.” -The Village Voice
• “I’m not actually sure how to pronounce New York spitter ABGOHARD’s name out loud, but that has not for one second stopped me from listening to this on repeat for the entirety of this morning.” -NOISEY
• “Those who have been following the Inner City Kids movement would be familiar with the character that is ABGOHARD. Over the last couple years, he has shot videos in urinals, acquired the “Young Purple Dick” moniker, and has often times been compared to Ol’ Dirty Bastard.” -Prefix
• “AB obliterates the competition with his Ol Dirty Bastard-esque mannerisms coupled with a loose, free flowing rhyme scheme…” -Earmilk
About ABGOHARD:
Facebook: ABGOHARD
At the age of 22, ABGOHARD may as well have an honorary degree in Practical Relativity. The New Jersey native understands that everything comes down to perspectives-success, struggle, friendship, the female sex. And to put things in the right light, ABGOHARD recognizes the duality by finding his perfect balance.
Reaching that equilibrium wasn’t always the obvious goal for the rapper. ABGOHARD picked up rapping at 14 during the phase of freestyling that every other middle school/high school kid goes through. While some used it to pick up girls or make snaps at others, AB saw it as a way to kill time. But encouragement from his friends pushed him to keep at the pastime to eventually rock the stage with NYC’s Inner City Kids.
Fellow member Aaron Cohen noticed that AB “brings a lot of the energy and creativity to the group. He does what he wants as an artist; a lot of people are scared to trust their instincts but he’s a real artist.” It’s AB’s honesty with himself that motivates him everyday to wake up and create.
ABGOHARD’s style can be described best as he puts it, “f*cking raw.” From psychedelic to club thumpers, AB manages to make his songs seem as if the instrumental was intended for no-one other than himself. Look out for ABGOHARD in 2014 and beyond as he continues to let his energy speak through his music.
Enter The Divine Mind. It is an ethereal dimension that allows you to perceive this world with clarity and super smooth beats. The debut project from E-Prosounds is the story of a refined lyrical creative who shares his travels in the everyday world that everyone else just wanders through. It serves as a collection of moments that give you the foundation of how E-Prosounds came to be. He flirts with ideas of Creationism to the extended mental escapes he takes where his other world thoughts stem from. Sit way back and enjoy the experience. No performance enhancing drugs or samples were used, so please don’t put any asterisks after the numbers this project puts up. Just 100% organic Hip-Hop.

About E-Prosounds:
All the way out in the suburbs of Rockland County, NY, the spirit of DITC and classic 90’s boom bap is strong with a 24 year old rapper/producer. E-Prosounds, formerly E-Professor (to avoid any beef with Large Pro down the road), can’t stop Hip-Hop from running through his veins. Whether it’s thinking of writing rhymes, tapping out beats, cutting up records, or the occasional tag, E-Pro lives and breathes this stuff.
Although he started recording rhymes on his mom’s computer in High School, he started seriously conceptualizing his music in 2013. His days of listening to CD 101.9 FM Smooth Jazz and love of 90’s Hip-Hop heavily influenced his somber, dense style. E-Pro’s deliberate choice of a serious feel comes from his goal of making you really reflect on his music, as if you were on a subway watching graffiti pass you by.
He may come across as cocky at times, but it’s evenly balanced by his thoughtful opinions on deeper themes. When asked what he’d like his legacy to be like, he replied with “I’d just like to be someone who made quality music and stayed true. It’d be cool if people uploaded my music and shared it on their own, and if I get love for years to come that’s good, like get respect from people I admire.”
