Reppin Abnoxshuz Entertainment we have M.A.B with his new release ‘A Piece Of Mind Part 2’, a brash and confident collection of 15 tracks. Now the thing is I don’t know anymore what’s classed as a mixtape because the quality of this sells it as a solid body of work, and I would therefore be inclined to call it an album. But fuck, who cares right? Especially if it’s as enjoyable and impressive as this.
One of the main things I wanna get across to you about ‘A Piece Of Mind Part 2’ is the sheer energy and confidence of it, never sounding forced or trying to be something it’s not. I couldn’t be happier that this is my first review of 2014 because It will be one of those that I listen to over and over.
M.A.B ,which as he tells me stands for Most Annoying Bastard (but I couldn’t really disagree more with that haha) has put together some proper head bangers here. Straight out the gate it’s old school cuts and breaks and a fiery flow style. It’s got style and character, its got personality stamped all over it. If your unsure what kinda personality just remember it’s from Abnoxshuz, yeah! ha. Clearly to me M.A.B is someone who just loves to spit and create tunes for us to enjoy. This collection is a fine example if you’re unfamiliar with him, or the excellent collective Three Headed Beast of which he is a member with Twizzy and Jinxsta JX.
When you can get such talented music like this for free it’s peak for the mainstream industry. Or at least it should be, but we all know the sheeple will blindly continue to buy the so called ‘hip hop’ they are told is in at the moment, oh how they are missing out. In fact I could use this album to demonstrate how backwards music consumerism is. When an album (or mixtape/whatever) of this calibre is largely unheard, even maybe within the underground scene, it’s a massive injustice, but this is the world we live in. But M.A.B however will continue to build a fanbase when he raps with such enthusiasm, energy and originality.
One of the most interesting things about this for me is after each track M.A.B shouts out the producer and whoever features on each track, this is something I’ve not heard done before and really cements my opinion of the man as someone to respect. Even shouting out the links to get the other artists music.
Speaking of features and production, ‘A Piece Of Mind Part 2’ came to play. The list is actually ridiculous. There’s a couple of appearances from Ransom Badbonez, a handful of appearances from Twizzy, as well as Jinxsta JX, Iron Braydz, Datkid, Oshea, Tenchoo and more. With excellent stand out production from the likes of Charlie Mac, Farma G, Baileys Brown, Wizard, Dilligent Fingers and more shaping this up to be a very very good listen.
Favourite track for me has to be ‘1st Come 1st Served’ with Badbonez and Twizzy because the three of them go iiiiinnnnn! Get it, it’s FREE, don’t be missing out through laziness or some other shit excuse. Look out for more releases from Abnoxshuz Ent family and Three headed beast throughout the year.

R.A. the Rugged Man believes the media is promoting the wackest hip-hop of all time right now, and says that writers aren’t trying to find the best undiscovered talent, but rather are putting on people because of their YouTube views. He adds to his claims by saying that the coverage on “fake rap” is “desecrating the culture for a paycheck.”
Rugged Man is then asked about his top five white rappers, but he reveals that he doesn’t like ranking just white rappers. However, he does elaborate on which rappers he’s worked with that he really respects, along with new talent like Mac Miller and Yelawolf that he’s also into.
