There are some things that I don’t think our colonial cousins across the pond, nor the rest of the world will ever completely understand. Some parts of British humour will never truly translate well. Which is why some dudes might not ‘get’ why Big Dutty Deeze decided to dress up in a blonde wig, QELD shoot videos with their mums, or that Shaodow and Zuby made a video about kidnapping people so their tour wouldn’t be a bust.
Our surreal and sarcastic attitude to ‘super serious sensitive artist mode’ at times might be hard to understand, but one thing you can never accuse our artists of being is stagnant or generic (well yeah, obviously there are rather a lot but I’m not talking about any of that nonsense today). With that nice little intro out of the way, I proudly give you another example of what our rainy shores can produce. Just because the dude’s riding about on a child’s bike, in a skeleton mask doesn’t make the inventive content, and slightly off-key rapping style any better. This is uniqueness and originality in its finest forms.
(Yes, yes I know MF Doom wears a mask. I’m not saying this is reinventing the wheel, it’s just a funny video. Gosh untwist your knickers)
