Only a handful of UK hip hop producers can match Endemic’s achievements and profile. Whether it’s working with members from two of the greatest rap groups of all time (Wu Tang Clan & Boot Camp Clik), or dropping albums with EMI Music & Duckdown Records, Endemic is, according toSBTV.COM, “One of the top producers the UK has produced in the last decade”.
Now, residing full time now in New York City, Demic is preparing to drop his sophomore album“Terminal Illness vol 2” on December 10, 2013, on his own No Cure Records/ IDC Entertainment. The album features another group of top notch talent including: Masta Killa, Cappadonna, Tragedy Khadafi, Afu Ra, Skyzoo, among many others.
“I wanted to live in New York with the next album,” explains Endemic of the inspiration for this current disc. “My music is so New York influenced sonically, that it made sense to be in the city.” Plus Demic adds that many of the same artists where down to collaborate again. “There will definitely be a part 3 to complete the trilogy!”
Endemic is hardly new to the scene. In March of 2009 the UK born beat maker released his debut album “Terminal Illness,” featuring emcees such as Sean Price, Planet Asia, Hell Razah, Killah Priest and UK based artists C Mone, M9, & Triple Darkness. The disc was released on Money Maker/EMI Music, making Endemic one of the few UK music acts to achieve major label distribution in the USA.
“Terminal Illness” was received very well by fans and national media outlets worldwide. In fact, Demic was flown out to New York by the label to undertake a promo tour for the album, performing in stores such as the legendary Fat Beats in Manhattan, and appearing on many big NYC radio stations such as the DJ Eclipse show on WNYU.
Later that year, Demic dropped the EP “Needle Drop” – a collaboration with Nottingham Veteran Cappo. Endemic continued his hard east coast style of production on “Needle Drop” and provided Cappo with perfect backdrops for his heavy rhyming style. Guest spots included additional Nottingham legends Scorzayzee and Lee Ramsay and London’s talented Cyrus Malachi& Iron Braydz.
In June 2010, Demic inked an album deal with DuckDown Records, making Endemic the first UK hip hop artist to sign to this legendary NYC Label. The first album was a 2010 collaborative set with Ruste Juxx called “Adamantine” and featured DuckDown label mates General Steele of Smif N Wessun, Skyzoo, and Torae, as well as Ill Bill,Wordsmith, and Supreme
In 2011-12 Endemic created more head-knodding tracks for emcees both stateside and at home, including Masta Killa, Junior Reid, LA the Darkman, Blaq Poet, Sha Stimuli, Fame Labs, Bronze Nazareth & Kevlaar 7, Bugsy Da God, Sav Killz & Cyrus Malachi. Four tracks contributed to Malachi’s debut “Ancient Future”. Demic was also responsible for the release of Malachi’s album via his “No Cure Records” imprint.
His influences, from the mid to late 90’s New York sounds, have inspired him to create classic soundscapes for the likes of Masta Killa, Cappadonna, Tragedy Khadafi, Roc Marciano, Sean Price, Ruste Juxx, Killah Priest, Ill Bill, Smif n Wesson, Hell Razah, Afu Ra, Blaq Poet, Sha Stimuli, Shabazz the Disciple, Sunz of Man, Torae, Skyzoo, Shyheim, LA the Darkman, Junior Reid, Planet Asia, PR Terrorist (Killarmy).
Demic isn’t showing any signs of slowing down. In 2014, he will release collaborative projects with Tragedy Khadafi & Wu Tang affiliates Bronze Nazareth & Kevlaar.

Middlesbrough duo Leddie and Smoggy recently released their debut album ‘Sorry We’re Late…’ ( an apt title, seeing as we’re late on posting this ourselves here at HHL&T). Now regulars of the site will know that both myself and Aimee are massive fans of this duo and this album is a perfect example of why.
Entirely Produced by Leddie – “Sorry We’re Late…” also features instrumentation by Alex Bailey, Who also Mixed and Mastered the album, Jamie Donnelly, Kieren Kemp and Gemma Haddow, Cuts from DJs Joe Sensation and Tony White, as well as guest vocals from Ben Turner and Bre Musiq.
The full length project was recorded in their glamorous home studio – a damp, cold vacant room with 2 mattresses and a bed base (left by previous tennants of Smog’s house) …The duo wiped down the materials and constructed a vocal booth – to deaden the sound’s of police sirens, then got to work with recording the 16 track album.
‘Sorry We’re Late…’ aims to reconcile their individual music passions; fusing Hip Hop with elements of soul and blues with their alliteration and machine gun etiquette rap. Available to download for just a fiver, filled with Lyricism, dope production and cuts, you will soon see why we’re big fans of the duo.
Featuring the likes of Sway, Mic Righteous, Lowkey, Black The Ripper, Durrty Goodz, Harry Shotta, Genesis Elijah, Mighty Moe, Amy True, Big Frizzle, Big Cakes, L Jinny, Renee Soul & Elz Boogie, this long awaited project is an eclectic collection of raw hip hop and insightful rhymes, building upon the foundations laid by 2011’s classic True Talk.
Audio from Philly MC and producer Reek (aka Reek Da Rookie). Following up on his eclectic track, “Cloud 9,” the bubbling wordsmith delivers a new tune called “Nightmare,” featuring fellow hometown spitters Freeway, Reef The Lost Cauze, and Tiani Victoria.
“Nightmare” will appear on the up-and-comer’s forthcoming project F.A.N.T.A.S.Y., set to release sooner than later.
K.O.T.T aka Knights of The Turntables are a four man Hip-Hop collective from Portsmouth and London that consist of King Solomon, (producer/emcee), Shang (emcee/lyricist), IC1 (emcee/lyricist) and DJ Alzee (turntablist/engineer). Here is the music video to their track ‘World War 3’ which features Wolverhampton’s Big Dutty Deeze and is taken from their superb album ‘River Styx’ which is out now on iTunes.
