UK Hip Hop duo Subculture Sage’s Childhood MIXTAPE is a 45-minute serving of the duo’s favourite hiphop from back in the day (like a bibliography of essential reading) from Slum Village to Roots Manuva and The Fugees to Skinnyman. The Mixtape has been cut with clippings from an exclusive interview with the duo where they discuss London’s hiphop scene, their experience of growing up in London and various ideologies of hiphop.
With only 2 singles under their belt, they have received widespread support from UK radio, many renowned publications and the Brooklyn studio responsible for all the early Wu-Tang and Gang Starr records. The Childhood MIXTAPE reveals some of the mystery around the duo giving a deeper perspective on them as artists and as people.
