Vydle Sinez & Incredible Chuck return with their new EP “Well Rested”, a superbly soulful release produced entirely by GxWay. This is right up our street and is a real testament to the true US Hip-Hop sound. Banging Boom Bap style beats and drums with lashings of jazztastic funk-drenched vibes set the tone for an audio journey that impresses.
The production is top notch, reminding me of Statik Selektah with a bit of 9th Wonder and Pete Rock thrown in for good measure. The verbal’s are dope too, with concepts covering everything from the rap game to modern day inner city living. When Hip-Hop is this good you just can’t beat this genre.
Excellent from the top to the very last drop, ‘Well Rested’ is something that needs to be in your collection. The only bad point about this release is that I wish it was a full length album. Go get this now.
