Baby Veeno was born in Sierra Leone, West Africa. Veeno did not have much of a childhood due to the Civil War in his home country. His family later moved to Guinea where he would be exposed to local African artists and used to repeat their songs word for word.
In 2002 Veeno moved to Sydney, Australia and was exposed to Hip Hop music and was instantly hooked. At the age of 7 he was writing poetry. At the age of 8 a friend pushed him to pursue a rap career. As the years progressed listeners of his music noticed that his lyrics were starting to compare to the likes of established artist, the originality in his music was evident and his beat selection was captivating.
