Following the phenomenal international response to his debut album “Magna Carta” which released on 3rd December, UK emcee Melanin 9 has launched the final video from the project “Heartless Island” featuring his long time sparring partners Triple Darkness with production courtesy of Jehst
Just as with previous joints Organized Democracy and DJ Magazine Hip Hop Single of the Month “White Russian” ft Roc Marciano, this is another banger with all artists on top of their lyrical game over a slammin beat.
Melanin 9 has just released the vinyl version of Magna Carta, and has been busy in the studio recording new projects including a new track with Planet Asia. He has several live appearances coming up including a performance at London’s iLuvLive at the end of May, and featuring on the main stage at the UK’s Boom Bap Festival in September.
While at the Hyde Park 420 Weed Festival 2013, Just P recorded the official music video to his ‘free the weed’ track “Spread bud Not War”. The video features loads of footage from around the Hyde Park Weed Festival, and the track has a laid back vibe.

If you think that perhaps I have this notion that Apathy and Thesis43 can pretty much do know wrong, then you’d probably be right. Well, I’d say they have a healthy 95% at the very least, and this is definitely not a part of that rare 5%.
A heavy, relentless and hardcore track from the pair, much like you’d probably expect. Then again even when they’re writing their most introspective songs, they still can’t escape that same tenacity they have in songs like this. Hey, if it ain’t, don’t fix it (and it’s free hoohoo).
This is the second single from Thesis43’s latest EP ‘The Era EP’.
A perfect song for weather like this. The flow and style demonstrated in this song shows why UK Northern rappers have as much talent and steez as their Southern cousins. The beat is understated and crafted nicely, which works perfectly with the horn samples. Get this in your ears. Any MC that says “while these rappers have their knickers in a twist, need to settle down” gets my vote.
