subCONSCIOUS, a new group to emerge from Atlanta’s underground hip-hop scene, consists of Kaedus, P.U.R.E., and Sha’Lil. subCONSCIOUS previously released their debut project titled Kaedus, P.U.R.E., & Sha’Lil Are…subCONSCIOUS [EP] (see below to stream and download) Here they present the video taken from the project called “Exile” as a sonic and visual introduction into their universe.
The last time Slim K and AWKWORD connected it was for the Chopstar’s Slowdown of AWKWORD’s Harry Fraud-produced song “Bars & Hooks” featuring Sean Price and The Kid Daytona.
This time the rising star from OG Ron C’s crew chops & screws AWKWORD’s daunting drug anthem “Requiem”.
The song features production from ATG; guest verses from Ess Vee, as well as SoulStice and CuzOH! Black; and a sing-along hook led by AWKWORD, with backup vocals from Ess Vee, Australia’s Jay Daniels and Grindhouse Gang’s Mark Deez.
We’ve kinda slept on this release from the UK, it dropped roughly 6 months ago, and it wasn’t until Marz from Brighton’s Scribe Tribe hit us to say he had a track on there that we became aware of it, so here is some of that UK Hip Hop goodness!
