An extremely laid back and heavily soul influenced song to wake you up on this windy Spring morn (well if you’re living in Bristol, UK as well). Charmingly Ghetto has teamed up with schhmooth voiced, Brionne Wright to create a song all about the loss of love (ain’t that a kick in the teeth?). I’m always happy to hear hip-hop songs with full bands; and this song features Pinionist Deshawn Alexander, saxophonist, Brian Johnston, guitarist, Nick Cabrera and bass guitarist, Ronnie Lanzilotta. I like to see more hip-hop cats going back to the early days and incorporating live instruments again. Zach Capner’s done a really good job of putting all these elements together, and the result is song very reminiscent of Fun Lovin’ Criminals (if you don’t know who they are, shame on you).
