Ahhhh my girl’s from the same city in Norway as beat maker Nhu-Rha, so he won by default. Hoohoo wouldn’t it have been awful if he was a really bad producer, and I was fooled into promoting him solely on the strength of my own personal bias? Well, thankfully that didn’t happen, and in reality we’re not going to promote bad music just because of it’s geographical positioning, so you can all sleep soundly.
This is still a relatively young release, and in some tracks I feel like he’s still formulating his ideas and strengths. However, please don’t take that as a criticism; I’m a big fan of listening to burgeoning artists (that’s the reason HHL&T exists in the first place) and the tape takes on some different and interesting turns throughout. Some are quite minimalistic, whilst others pack a heavier punch, but all carry an urgent feel to them which I enjoy.
Don’t listen to me though, make up your mind for yourself.
