The long awaited new project from Kal Sereousz is now available for your listening pleasure. ‘Ill Suffit D’unne Fois’, roughly translating to ‘It Only Takes Once’ is the prequel to the concept album where Kal Sereousz adopted an innovative approach to rhyming. This new approach forced Kal to experiment with song arrangement and display his creativity as he tackled each song on the album armed with only one verse.
IOT1 originally scheduled for release last December, was shelved due to many reasons. That album may never see the light of day but fans will at least get to experience the same concept on Ill Suffit D’unne Fois. ISDF Production is served by Kal’s long time team of Jon Phonics, Kelakovski and Chemo who deliver a combination of melodic but hard hitting boom bap bangers.
Another one of Kal Sereousz’s veteran production team is 1xtra DJ/Producer Crissy Criss who has never actually contributed to a Kal Sereousz project until now. Jeeks also provides some heat as does Kal himself with another appropriately experimental progressive Hip-hop effort.
Features are a plenty as ISDF sees Kal trading flows with the best underground emcees in London including TBear, Big Cakes, Shameless, Cyclonious, Raggo Zulu Rebel, Skillit, Kinetik and many more. Various artists and producers from East London contribute to this which proves ‘Ill Suffit D’unne Fois’ to be the definitive 2013 East End Hip-Hop sound.
