Over the sea and not so far away to Switzerland, Juellz has just released his first solo effort ‘Jewelz’. It’s a record dealing with disappointment, every day obstacles, but throughout an overall positive LP. Considering this dude cold barely speak a word of English only a few years ago he puts a lot of native English speakers to shame with his wordplay.
I really enjoy the instrumentation, it’s well placed and interesting. I especially like how Juellz vocals sounds next to some piano-driven tracks. This is full of collaborations, as well as quite a few American MCs and producers adding their skills to the record, such as Mista Classic, King Magnetic, Reks, K-Rino, Awon, and a plethora of others.
This is a chilled, yet pretty funky release and is a very impressive first effort from Juellz.
For fans of Q-Unique, Reks, Awon (I know those last 2 are obvious but you get me?)
