A pretty chilled out, DJ Mentos produced, jazz-infused track, but don’t think just because the instrumentation is schmooth that Swerve’s style isn’t relentless, or the content isn’t just as passionate or sincere. Half way through the track I was generally thinking “Whoa, really? That’s crazy”. Proof that a good storyteller knows how to constantly keep their audience on their toes.
Swerve and his crew are giving this track away as a little twice monthly release, which could include, studio tracks, freestyles or video. I’ll let him explain that to you in better form though.

“This is the first drop from the new Swerve & SYG series titled “Pay Day”. Which means on the 1st and the 15th of each month you will get a new track from either Swerve or SYG. Could be a freestyle, video, song, lo-fi, or whatever. Basically just things that won’t make any album/mixtape cuts that we want to release. So from here on out. Every pay day you’ll get a gift from us as well.”
