Five years is a long time in the blogging world, which is why on January 18 Blatantly Blunt is throwing a free party with donations going to homeless charity Shelter. The night is made even fresher with a clothing sample sale from some of the best up-and-coming brands peddling their garms.

The night, in conjunction with big-dog promoters Hoochinoo will see hip hop and grime pump through one of London’s most popular live venues, the recently refurbished Vibe Bar on East London’s Brick Lane.
Headlining the night will be Melanin 9, the Triple Darkness head honcho, currently riding the wave of his critically acclaimed ‘Magna Carta LP’. The dark and profound Londoner recently collaborated with Roc Marciano and Jehst on the new album and appeared on SBTV’s ‘Skooled By’ series.
Preceding M9 is veteran North London lyricist Super Ti2bs, who rose to underground fame over 10 years ago with the Mud Family, and is currently enjoying a second-wind with singles ‘Let Go’ and ‘Black Dynamite’ which features Sway.
Also performing on the night are South London’s Rewd Adams (formerly known as Skandal), bringing his uplifting true-skool vibes, along with the boom bap lyrical doctor Chima Anya and Slough’s #1 export Byron, whose three-part mixtape series ‘Deep Lyrics, Dirty Beats’ was premiered on SB.TV!
Kicking off proceedings are the 6 man Moose Funk Squad featuring Jester Jacobs, also a rising stand-up comedian.
The night will be given a grime injection with DJ sets featuring highly rated MCs Kwam, Nico Lindsay, Rocks and Darkos. Also stepping up to the mic are G fam’s Styler, Sicx and Vola plus super skilled crossover MCs INC and English to mash up the mic til 1am!
